Ive read half of it and its sooooo inspirational.
I read that a few times before. I think its funny where line has to have an entire page to try to claim that they only wanted to make skis from the beginning, but skiboards were a stepping stone. I hate them.

I think that was added in later Kirk. I read that story a long time ago and I dont remember ever reading that part. I'm with you though...I hate them and think they are just weak. They would probably abandon twin tips as well if something came along to make them a shit pot more money. Thats what line is really all about now...MONEY! While money is all good and thats what your business needs to survive and you want to be successful you can't shit on the very thing that made you and got you where you are today. Jason should still be loyal to skiboarding and make really good skiboards once again. It can't be that hard or more cost and time demanding to him. He just doesnt care...it's that simple. So.....the line story while inspirational in the begining should now be inspirational on how NOT to fuck over the very people that are responsible for making your company money and helping it grow.

the people responsible for making line what they are today....... they pretty much all went to twin tips so in that sense they're being loyal to their customers and also its just where line was heading, i dont have a problem with them really. i use to.....

Your missing the point....as do so many others. Not ALL of the people who supported line and made line went to twin tip. This is the same bullshit "lets defend line" kind of debate. They bailed on skiboarding and thats the fuckin bottom line. They will never produce any good boards again and will never help this sport grow. Every response to everyquestion I have ever asked line about skiboarding is...Our focus is on skis not skiboards. So there you have it straight from the horses ass.

Sorry....I like older line products and I ride older line products. This is just my view and I just think its messed up. Thats all. I mean dont tell people you really wanted to make skis and skiboards were just a stepping stone. If that was the truth then why didnt he make his own first twin tip skis?

they saw skiboarding as a part of skiing which pushed it further, then they saw twin tip skis pushing it even further, thats my viiew anyway.

lol....got me man
i think the good thing is that what LINE done for skiboarding, but bad thing is: what LINE is not doing NOW for skiboarding!
and, one more what i like about LINE : J.L. made skiboards by himself(i am not talking now WHO started all skb thing), he was not making them in crap cheap factories like others, and he got the work goin on,...realy well....
:(..but, ahh, i think ppl must remember from what they have all that what they have now - like - LINE...:
its like forget your parents, and not take care of them..> thats the same what J.L is doin now with skiboards!!!
hm, where are those machines??? machines - to make skiboards...J.L could donate them for skiboarders ! ;)

the other question is, did mike nick (who this seems to be focused on) actually do every thing and anything hecould do for the sport? no. If he thought he could really push the sport why didnt he wait till there was a challenge for him to compete with?
P.S. why is like tricks on skis such a big thing? didnt they have freestyle skiing for a while ya know the whole thing with the moguls then the huge jump that jonny mosley is supposedly god on?

It's actually Jason Levinthal and the company as a whole is what we are talking about but yes....Mike Nick....f-n ripper. He rides for line so even if they were makin wicker snow shoes thats what he would be on and he would have his own model. He would probably rip on those too come to think of it...lol. I agree with you though. I don't think JL did all he could for the sport either.

Yeah, the one thing that I like in that entire story is the begining when he started making his own board. That right there is proof that even if every skiboard company abandoned them for twin-tips, we could always make our own in our garage, and make em exactly the way we want em. I say screw line for ditching skiboarding, but at least they may be inspiration for someone else to start up their own company that makes even nicer boards.
