I know you already spoke about the ESS Contest 2005 in italy but there is an other report about.

'Our dream came true' : that's what can be said to resume the 'ESS skiboard Contest 2005'
This skiboard event, organized for the first time by an amateur team, was a real success !
This contest (organized by Arnaud GUIDI, Marco LORENZON & Guillaume CHAUDE from the 'EQUIPE SUD SKIBOARD' crew) was an incredible meeting of riders from all around the world, and seems to be a real step up for the skiboard sport in Europe.
The follow riders was there :
Ben Wannamaker (canada)
Greco (EUS)
Scott Palmer (UK)
Tommy Laker (UK)
Andréa (Italy)
Luca (Italy)
Marco lorenzon
Martins Miculas (latvia)
Oscars (Latvia)
Guillaume Chaude (France)
In spite of very bad weather in the first days of the week and a closed park, the riders had the chance to discover a perfect weather and a perfect park on february 17th, contest day !
We had 3 jams session events (30 minuts to give the best) :
- Grind : One Flat rail + one kink
- Big Air
- Wallride
At the end of the day, we had our winners
Ben WANNAMAKER (mix) took the GOLD with :
GRINDS :
-fakie on unnatural backslide to 450 disaster
-makio to 270 disaster
-270 on to switch on unnatural to frontside switch up
BIG AIR :
- bio 540 reverse safety
- cab 540 reverse safety
- cab 720
WALLRIDE :
-alleyoop 360 with a little grind on the coping
-stalefish stall on the coping
Tommy LAKER (from ESS TEAM) took the silver with :
GRINDS :
-270 onto unnatural to disaster lips
BIG AIR :
- Backflip & almost a rodéo
WALLRIDE :
-stall on the coping & rotations off
Guillaume CHAUDE (from ESS TEAM) took the bronze with :
GRINDS :
270 off to disasters
BIG AIR :
360 mute, 360 safety
180 mute, 180 safety
almost a zero spin
WALLRIDE:
Stall safety to fakie
Unfortunately , Marco and Martins gave up (family problems and injury).
The prizes ceremonial occured in the night in marilleva 1400 resort with a very nice atmosphere...
We want to thank again skiboardsonline.com and skiboards.com for the prizes and for them to have believed in us !
Thanks too to every skiboarders who came and turned this event into an unique moment !!!
