December 3, 2010 Highmount, NY – It's official! Belleayre is open for the 2010-2011 Skiing and Riding Season and would like to thank everyone that came out to show their support! Over 1000 people came out over the past weekend to make their first turns of the season at Belleayre, the only mountain that was open in the Catskills. It might not have been much terrain, but the man made snow got great reviews from everyone who had been impatiently waiting to break out their gear for this winter. Afterwards the Overlook Lounge and deck was packed with satisfied customers as people caught up with friends that they hadn't seen in months.
