If any of you ever get a chance to get to Taos Ski Valley in NM I'd reccomend hitting up at least one of the runs on the ridge, assuming that you can handle really steep double blacks. The hike is most definately worth it. Today I hit it for my first time and it was just like heaven. Powder everywhere. Here's a link to a pic of the run I took ... Ridge pic (http://www.teresco.org/pics/taos-20040306/P3060142.jpg) It was also pretty funny, on my first hike up I passed a skier who was resting, and as I walked by he just said I was a brave soul for trying the ridge on skiboards.

Sick!! Did a couple of those in Mammoth. Your right its like nothing else in the world to rock one of those runs on skiboards. Little does that skier know that you probably had a way easier go of it than he did on his full size tanks huh? :D

looks fun as hell though....did you take the drop?

Didn't take the drop you see, not comfortable enough with being in the air, still working on that. When I was there, there was an inevitable 10 foot drop at the begining, but It was snow covered and I kinda rode it out instead of just dropping it. Hopefully soon I'll start taking cliffs, might go back to taos sometime before they close, and I may try one of the cliffs. If I do I'll get video of it, that way if I land it, I have sweet footage, and if I eat it on the landing, I'll have some way to remember what the hell I did to lose my memory. About the skiiers, I started at the same time as another skiier, and burned him down, then had to wait for my dad who ski's and wasn't quite up to the level of taking it, lol.
