Hey guys,
I just bough a pair of blades( yes their soloman) not realizing I could get some from here for around the same price. I bough the MiniMaxx 99 CM ones. Where I go its all rained out and closed here, but I did manage to get 5 good days of going in over the weekend. I go at www.skiwentworth.ca

I read somewhere about you guys from Canada, just wondering what part. I'm from Amherst, N.S.

When I used these blades,(skiboards w/e) they surprised me seeing that I had only used rentals and they sucked, these ones were more durable, faster and softer riding. I can do rails, jumps, mouguels etc I have bladed all of Sunday River over March break, so I'm ok I guss. Just wondering what you guys think of these blades. I scraped alot of rocks with no sustancial damage. And it looks like its the end of the year for me.

you won't find many (any) riders here who will say nice things about salomon boards mainly for the reasons listed on this page (http://www.skiboardsonline.com/html/board_specs.htm)

LOL, Yes I understand, but me being new, and have no prefious knoleage of riding any skiboards, I got those. I plan on buying some M7's wit some bomber elite bindings soon. But for now they seem to be holding up very well. And I can do anything better than anyone at my hill, so it suits me. I do belive its wood core though.

I have been riding Salomon SBten boards for the past 2 seasons and I have had no problems with them so far. The bindings however are a different story. I found out the hard way just how crappy they really are. I will say that if I had known about the better boards and bindings when I bought my Salomon stuff, I would not have gotten them. So I will definitely be getting better boards and bindings for next season.

hey there!

I'm from Quebec, glad to see a new skiboarder joining our ranks!

there are a few guys on here from Ontario and we're two from Quebec I believe.

Everyone else is from the USA and then a few from various places in Europe.

Salomon aren't that great...I started on Salomon Buzz some 6 years ago...then bought SB10s which rocked back then compared to the buzz... wider, longer, better. but still too smooth, bad construction, bad bindings, etc.

now riding Canons and even though they snapped on me twice they are a WORLD away from any salomon boards. Canon backs their products amazingly though so its all good.

Mix is new in town and they couldn't really satisfy demand for their first year...the boards are supposed to own though! watch out next year.

Keep riding, your salomon will do fine for now but whenever you have spare cash make sure you sell those to your girlfriend for some downhill riding and buy yourself a pair of skiboards with good bindings from SBOL and rip the parks like we do =P

it's been 4years that i'm riding on SB10's ...
and i don't have a lot of bad things to say on its...

good on rails, soft landings on jumps etc etc ...

only one bad thing : the plastic binding which broke one time on a little jump... except that , sb10s are very good boards in my opinion, but salomon decided to stop this product this season...

Hey Alex.
Not very many canadians here I guss. Do you guys go down to Sunday River each year? Theirs a group of us that do, the Dixon Group that goes and stays every March break at the Summit Hotel. Mabe next year, once I got better ones you guys should make a road trip, its about 8 Hours I would say.

I think my MiniMaxx's will be good enough untill I get the cash, once I got it i'm going to trash them and see what they really can handle.

the solomons i have are a spare pair and iv only ridden them once for about an hr. ya know why?, cause they suck. the new bindings are compleatly retarted and loosen and tighten without you touching them, i think they are foam core, cause they are flexible. the bindings are too high, they are like an inch and a half off the snow which makes it harder to land jumps, also they are not as wide as skiboards so the landing surface is not great.
