Wish I knew why. They seem to think its easier to do tricks on skiboards than it is on twin tips. Not that it matters we are all out there to have fun and ride the mountain but for me I think its easier for them to do stuff. Longer boards as you know are way more stable on landings and just in general. So sliding a rail on those things is way easier and jumping as well. Still does not explain why they hate on us though. People mock and make fun of what they don't understand. Most of them have never even tried skiboarding and they will only ride what is deemed "cool" on the hill. They will never truly understand the freedom of complete control without the restrictions of poles or limited foot movement like a snowboard. It's quite sad actually. But...to each his own i guess.
I can't speak for everyone, but I'd say the majority of the kids on new schoolers are middleschoolers with nothing better to do than rip on people better than them. I find it disgusting when they put up comments like blah blah work on your style or blah find a bigger jump and crap like that. I like a lot of the stuff on there, but the stupid responsed made me want to vomit, so I haven't been there in years.

Seems to be that all the kids that are learning to ski or snowboard these days almost think that ripping on other people is what they are supposed to do. Even though they themselves suck badly but its okay because they are doing what is "cool".

It sucks man. Everyone should just be cool and appreciate and learn from each other. Unfortunately this is the real world and I guess we gotta deal wit it. Still sucks ass though.

yea, my sister thinks snowboarding is harder and more "hardcore" than skiboarding and i had to argue with my friend for 3 hours just to explain the difference between skiing, snowblading *cough*, and snowboarding, he too was like "snowboarding rocks and skiboarding is the exact same thing as snowblading and sux." people are ignorant, we have to hold our heads high, keep skiboarding and hope to be accepted one day by everyone.
