im looking for a pair of these, but they never have my size on ebay.

allz
05-16-2005, 08:54 AM
hey Roussel.... for what are these?? offroad or what?

kirk
05-16-2005, 12:50 PM
i got a pair of those coyotes. they're fun to mess around on, but it gets boring if you're the only one who has them. They ride really smooth, but the brake is stupid and gets in the way.

PureVenom
05-16-2005, 04:08 PM
Did you check out the video from the link that allz posted? Those things look lame but probably really fun. I wanna take a pair to mammoth in the summer. All the lifts run and you can ride the whole mountain on bikes and stuff so I wonder if you can hit up the mountain on these things. The guy on the video looked like he was gonna grind the handrail but he just jumped the stairs instead. I would think you could get pretty loose on these in the dirt.

Roussel
05-16-2005, 08:30 PM
the problem with the ones i posted i find is the frame thing is too low, forget about going over anything ruff smothly, u have to stick to flat surfaces, the coyotes looks like they could go down a pile of rocks.

PureVenom
05-17-2005, 11:11 AM
Could you imagine how insanely fast those would be Roussel?Wouldnt want to go blazing dow any major hills with those.Unless the brakes work really good.

Roussel
05-18-2005, 02:25 PM
true, it might be ahrd to stop and control your speed, but mountain board usually have no breaks and they just turn upthe hill to slow down or stop.

PureVenom
05-18-2005, 06:51 PM
Mountain board I just do little cess slides to control speed. I wanna try those things that Allz posted man. Those have a hand brake to control speed. The possibilities for those things is huge. But no release on dirt could be very very bad. How big are the wheels on the coyotes and do they have tread or more for just smooth street?

Roussel
05-18-2005, 08:12 PM
i think they are 6 inches, and they have treads, they are made soley for offroad

kirk
05-18-2005, 10:28 PM
Yea, the coyotes go really good in the dirt and rocky stuff. They're slow in grass if its wet, and they're ok on street, but really no reason to ride them on it.

Some of my friends just built a few big dirt tables for bmx, so im gonna try them on these sometime soon. If it works at all, ill get a video or pics or something.

They feel almost skilike on the road because the rubber doesn't like to skid, but on dirt, they slide decent so you have a lot more control. I hate the brake, but its sorta essential just beacuse you can really get going fast quickly.

PureVenom
05-20-2005, 12:43 PM
Wow...those things sound pretty sick. Im sure everyone would be stoked to see some video of those in action.

PureVenom

No chance of withdrawl symptoms for me! I'm moving to santiago in chile to teach english for a year. Ski season in chile starts this month and ends in october and the biggest ski resort in the southern hemisphere is only an hour's drive away. And what's more they're already having huge amounts of snow, check out this web page:http://www.vallenevado.com/contenidos/eng/index_eng.php?i=221 for a photo taken last week...the resort isnt even open yet!!

I'll be thinking of you guys!

btw there's a pair of line jedis on ebay (nothing to do with me, thought you might be interested)

Damn thats nice....a bit wierd not seeing any trees though...lol. I would if I could. Sponsoring an event in chile would be the shiznito. Need to be makin major bucks to be able to send all your riders around the globe for different events.

SkaFreak
06-02-2005, 07:49 PM
I think someone should definately look into it and figure out what type of costs we'd be talking about there. And even if it was WAAAYY too expensive to get there, I'm sure there's smaller, closer, cheaper places to get to in the southern hemisphere. That would be sooo awesome though.

Getting into skiboarding is one of the best hobbies that I have gotten into. Its just too bad that I started late when the season is going to be over.

Once Spring arrives I plan on either going off-road with my ATV ('97 Yamaha Banshee), body boarding, or try to pick up paintball.

I use to do high performance driving/racing with my BMW but its an expensive hobby and plus I am getting out of the automobile scene.

Mark

Wooo, man, I haven't gone bodyboarding in ages! I used to be so into that. I still have my Morey Aviator board with bat-tail and channels and my Viper fins somewhere. That sounds like an excellent summer sport to me!

Thankfully, I can just go to Austria and hit the Glaciers. Otherwise, I like to hike a lot but I think we're going to learn scuba diving this spring.

Paintball, like skiboarding, is fun if you have a good place to do it at.

Out here in CA, we have fun, fast paced paintball fields and OK Skiboarding mountains. I don't know how it is out there in the east.
