i was thinking about attempting a misty flip.... any advice?? how much air do I need?? techniques? any tricks that i should master before hand?..........Or is it too suicidal and i should just forget it????

First off, only do it on a jump you feel completely comfortable on. And, make sure you are doing 540s on that jump super clean, comfortable, and landed almost 100% of the time. I would suggest referring to the video in the skate section, "Some Free Advice." In that it shows you how to do them on skates, which will translate to skiboards.

i used to do them on skates, actually a few years ago i would do them off park benches on my feet.

but im no where near nutting up to do them on skiboards

its a kinda easy rotation tho, i just used to duck my shoulder hard and try and kinda kick out my legs and whip them around. hard to explain. I would try a new flip or something on a trampoline or diving board first. At least it gives you the feel of the rotation

Throw your right first to your left knee (or visa versa). I believe some people refer to it as PUNCHING THE MIDGET when throwing a misty 5. Once you have the rotation set....tuck in. Then you have to look for your landing and extend your legs in front of you and STOMP.

And don't listen to bloom..you don't need to know 5s or anything of that nature...it feels like an inverted 180 to me haha

i sorta landed it.....my skis hit the ground first....but now i learned to tuck and i can land them easily. thanks!
