Hello All,

I recently started riding skiblades and love it. Eventually I want to transition to skiboards. However, right now I have narrowed it down to purchasing snowjam 99, head salamander 94 (i believe newer version of head big easy) or Elan freeline 99. My reason to stick with skiblades for now, is because im new to skiing and learned how on skiblades. I have rented the Elans and Big easy. I liked both of these. I thought the big easy were a better board but they were a little slower. I recently purchased the snowjam 99s online but Im thinking I made a mistake. Can anyone tell me if these will be better than the Elans? Or should I cancel the order and buy Head Salamander? FYI...I live in VA so I ski on ice. However, Im going to park city Utah in two weeks and plan to use whatever I purchase.

Thanks for any info

MC

Hi mtc, and welcome. I have ridden all the boards you mention, but truthfully I found the Revel8 Revolt easier all the way around. Dont be nervous of 'proper' skiboards, in the main, they have more stability and edge control than the boards you mention. Go for broke :)

Let me know exactly when you will be riding out there. Park City is only about five hours from me and I have a friend out there that I crash with. I still haven't gotten to riding out there this season so I would be down to ride, for sure. Also, myself along with a bunch of other Revel8 Team riders and friends will be in Lynchburg, VA to ride at Liberty SnowFlex Centre over the summer. It would be great if you would like to come meet up with us and ride.

agree'd, if you can get Revel 8 go for it! ya won't regret it and in the long run you'll be better off.
