I'm 6ft 200lbs and i'm trying to figure out which skiboards would be good for me...I went to cranmore this weekend and used my uncles Matrix fx 90 skiboards and i had a great time...i just felt that they we're a little shaky at higher speeds and didn't seem to carve as great at higher speeds as well...I went with several skiers and they could easily pull away from me on the straight runs...i live in Rhode island and ski primarily in New Hampshire, i'd personally like a pair of skiboards that are better then the ones i was using...i've been looking at the Spruce 2010 Yellow 120 cm Longboard skiboards but i'm not sure if they are too long or if i should shoot for the Revel 8 110cm? Please help i looked at the chart but i'd like some personal opinions plase

Hi Chrisben85,
It sounds like you narrowed it down to a couple of great skiboards, both of which would suit you well. I'm 5'10", 180lbs and I have ridden both of these boards. The spruce 120's are great boards and sound like they would work, plus there is a great sale. But I have to say that the ALPs/DLPs are my favorite boards ever.
They will do everything you are looking for and more, keeping a smile on your face all the time. They are very fast and stable. I have skiboarded with a lot of fast skiers and have never had a problem keeping up.
Good luck either way

Thank you, they list like 20 different binding options...what would you suggest? I was looking for Release bindings because i've heard of some pretty bad injuries from the non - release bindings? Is it a valid concern and what would you suggest i look for when choosing bindings?

While I have used both release and non-release bindings in the past now I stick pretty much to the release. It gives me a little more peace of mind and they are so easy getting into on the mountain. When it comes to release, any of the spruce setups should work great ( except the pro jrs due to your size).
As for non-release, I haven't used the receptors but If I was looking to buy some that would be my option. I have heard nothing but good about them.

I'm roughly your size and ride the 2010 Yellow/Red Spruce 120's with pro sport risers. They are my favorite of the 4 types of boards I have ridden and have never let me down. They are super "flexy" and easy to control even at high speed.
Good luck on your quest to find what you like...
