My recomendation for offseason is a trampoline and a good pair of soap shoes. the ones with the virtical plates too. Tramp for airs shoes for grinds. I got alot of nice rails at my house and my town for the shoes that I do all the time. Their not new but havent really been "discovored" yet. Everyone heard of em but they are queezy on buying them. I own 2 pairs and use them left and right. its nice knowing that when i go to pick my gf up from school i can hang out in the main enterance and do the wheel chair ramps rails till she comes out.

no room for a tramp and soap shoes are a rip off from what iv heard, oh well, i found jumping off lamp posts on the sidewalk is just as fun, and i might try putting a rail on top of a tarp in my yard to skiboard on in the summer

I dunno....Soaps are fun but as I said before when someone posted about soaps the last time. Very easy to snap your ankle coming of of a rail the wrong way. I mean...sk8ting you can roll off of it and save yourself or you just eat it. But with soaps...think about how fast you slide and then think about coming off the rail at that speed to a dead stop. You have to be able to run it out or...SNAP!!! goes the ankle very quickly. Maybe thats why they never took off. They have been around for a long time too. Trampoline would be sick!!! Unfortunately....no room for one either. Thinkin about getting one and just setting it up at the park by my house. But setting it up and tearing it down everytime would be a bitch probably. Oh well....6 more months.

i want a pair of soaps and i cna't inline for my life, mostly because i have no desire to do so. It will never be a summer skiboarding as much as i would like because alkl you can do on inline is freestyle... There is no diversity what so ever.

soap shoes are more fun on the go than inlines. i had a pair of soloman 9's a few years back, did like 540s and basic grinds and gave up. i like being able to goto the stor,e notice a railing then jump up in it. as for the ankle part i've never hurt my ankle and i've been soaping for 2 years now.

Hmmm....sounds like you got it down. I've seen ankles break too though. You got a point though....being able to just slide anything you see anywhere is kinda cool. I still wanna try these things man.

The video on this website makes them look fun as hell.

soap shoes are definatly worth it if u can find them for cheap. I got a pair for 35 bucks on ebay brand new and althought they arnt as good as they once were, they still are fun and help to practice grinds. A trampoline is definatly good for helping airs, i have a 15 foot one in my backyard and it really helps to practice spins, as now im able to do 720's no problem.

trampoline is of a good use indeed. i went to a sportshall with my friend where they had two of them. i started backflips on the first day (still haven't done any fronts), and it gives some confidence when thinking of the next season (if there is a season for me at all)
Soap shoes are really fun, but they're also really limited. I use to always wear them in middle school and highschool to hit the rails in school between classes. Skates have a lot more possibilities and help a ton with skiboarding, but soaps are always fun to mess around on.
The speed thing on them is a real problem tho. The only time i went to hit a really big rail, like 25 stairs or so, when i landed, i had way to much speed and fell forward real hard and got pretty hurt. Rocks enloged in the hands suck.

WoW that sux. I guess i've been lucky enough not to have that happen from Soaping yet. I stick to more flat rails but long rails. wheel chair ramp rails end up being the best. There is a railing by my house that is just about 52 stairs that is a double kink. I can do the bottom section. I wanna see someone do the whole thing. If anyone could I'm sure you'd get a sponsership with w/e u did it on. I'll post a picture of it sometime tonight.

heres an idea.... buy soaps and inline skates. when ur not skating, and just going to the store or whatever, wear the soaps as ur shoes, then when u want to skate , skate, .... its a simple solution, haha

i have 2 friends that have soaps. and they look fun and all but yeah i could see the speed problem, i was going to try it and then i saw one of them fall really hard so i didnt. i think skating would help more anyways. so ill stick to that.

I tried 3 prototypes for soul plates but it didn't work properly....I could do some makios but it was fairly unstable and it wasn't too good for the bindings either.
