Hey! I see you're from Ann Arbor, MI. Can you tell me where do you ride?

The thing is I am moving over to South Bend, IN for MBA studies. I am/was 99% sure I would put off skiboarding/skiing for the two years of studies - because of (1) have to ship my equipment from Latvia to USA, and (2) won't have time and place where to.

but maybe I can change my mind (i'd love to)!?

anybody else from the area: IL, IN, MI?

well for south bend you gonna want to ask some of the guys who live in west MI for a local mountain. but most of the best places are in northern michigan about a 5 or 6 hr drive from south bend,

here are some links to the mountains up north:

Crystal Mountain (http://crystalmountain.com/)

Boyne Mountain (http://www.boynemountain.com/)

Nub's Nob (http://www.nubsnob.com/)

^^ those are the best for more go to http://skimichigan.com

my local mountains:

MT. Brighton (http://www.mtbrighton.com)

Alpine Valley (http://skialpinevalley.com/)

my personal favorite:

MT. Bohemia (http://www.mtbohemia.com/home.html)

this one has awesome BC and Glades probally the best in the midwest, no park sadly but trust me you wont need it. it also has a huge drive time about 13-14 hours from South Bend (12 from Ann Arbor)

well any ways thats my list of mountains in Michigan

Chris, of course the sitiation is miserable in that area (that's why i thought i will have to put off skiboarding for the time). I think i've heard of alpine walley. or is there a resort called swiss valley as well?

wow! swiss valley is just about half an hour from south bend (http://www.skiswissvalley.com/). unfortunately, they have not developed their park section and photo gallery on the site.

there is also bittersweet (http://www.skibittersweet.com) about an hour away, i guess. but swiss valley looks better
