Of the skibhoards currently on sale, which is the best deal (BEST PRODUCT). I am buying my first set of boards and dont know if I should wait til fall til the new lineup comes out or buy some Mike Nick Pros or one of the other boards on sale. I started skiing on my firiends last year (Cheap Alpinas) and loved it. I am also debating the releasable vs non releasable bindings. Any help woud be great! I also need boots. I do like a good deal, so I would prefer buying now. I am an all Mt skier, intermediate level 6'00 tall and 240 lbs

the deal of $200 for mike nicks and freeflex pro bindings is the best deal in skiboarding. period. the boards and bindings are the highest quality possible.

What about boots? Can I use regular ski boots or should I buy ski boots designed for non releasable bindings? Are the salomons boots on the other site (skiboard.com)worth the money? They are certainly less expensive.

Are these bindings difficult to size? Do they come installed?

Anybody agree or disagree with Greco? I see people have been reading, but not commenting ...

Just trying to get some feedback going

the boots we sell are really comfortable and offer a tremendous amount of forward flex so they are ideal for skiboarding but they are not required. if you're concerned with money just get yourself some cheap comfortable ski boots and you'll be set.

non release bindings are easy to size and we install them to your boards at no extra charge.

I picked up a pair of the mike nicks from SBOL. I paid a bit more (before the summer sale, but it still was a reasonable price.) Beautiful board. The "vw bug" (the ones on sale I believe) and "hooded guy" mike nicks are considered excellent boards. I've boarded alot with the hooded guy, and they work very well(obviously since I bought the VW bug pair as a spare).

THX for the advice. I am sold and ready to order. I just have two more questions. Can I put releasable bindings such as spruce or reactor 10s on this skiboard with no problems? I had a bad knee injury along time ago while skiing and dont want to take any chances.
I did not see an option to ship to FPO/APO addresses. That totally sucks for servicemembers stationed overseas. What gives .... that doubles my shipping costs. Again, thx for the advice

You can put spruce release bindings on the MNP's because they both use the universal 4x4 pattern. Line's Reactor can only be used with Line boards made starting a year or two ago. This is when Line started to move away from the 4x4 universal insert patrern.

We do ship to APO addresses. If it's not an option in the shopping cart just enter the state the zip code is for and type APO in the special instructions block of the last page of the order form. (ie: 94306, California).

FYI, we're currently closed for a week's summer vacation but will fill your order as soon as we re-open on the 15th.

Yeah my bro just scored a pair of those off of ebay for 39.00. They are actually in pretty good shape. He is just learning to skiboard so he didnt want to spend a bunch of money as of yet. After this season he will be at SBOL buying his gear though. I will make sure of that. But for the money and to learn on they are pretty cool.

They are very sick.....Like you said G...I don't know weather to hang them on the wall or ride them. They sure are purdy!!! How much difference in speed and stability are these going to make? I ride mostly my five-o's at 90cm so the MNP are like 5'' longer. I assume that they will be WAY faster but will they have better handling?

Greco

they will be faster but the big advantage to moving up in length is how well you can carve when going fast. the extra edge length really helps with "chattering" and losing your edge when going fast.

So they are way more stable when carving...very cool. I would assume then that landing is more stable as well? And what about rails? I know these sound like rookie questions but I have been so used to 90cm or 94cm and these a lot bigger so I want to make sure that the extra length is going to be good for all types of riding. I could not even imagine bustin the 110's. Thats a crazy jump in size.

On a side note G. Have these been repaired or something? One of my boards looks like it was repaired for delam or something. Lots of extra resin on the side.Very strange.

d,

yeah for sure better for landing and balance on rails.

Let me take a close look at them G and see exactly what it is. I will take a picture so you can see it before we go through all that. Thats why I buy from SBOL you ALWAYS take care of your customers .

Thanks a lot G

Wohoo, they are fantastic! I got one of the select bags to transport (i cant avoid air travel in order to reach mountains!). Although it is padded, it thought i could make it even safer for the potential transport, so i got some medium density foam and made a cutout to fit in the bag and then a moulded shape in the foam into which the boards fit..... all zipped up, it is almost bouncy :D

Hey PureVenom, my bug pair has the extra resin on one side too. It is nothing to worry about, just seems to be part of the finishing process. It looks to me as if these boards were hand finished AFTER construction as the finish is way way better than could be achieved in a mould, and I think the extra resin is just a little "run off". That is some deep gloss they have, right? Cool. Can you believe hand finished skiboards?
