Looking forward to riding with you guys on one of those Montreal days (Tremblant? Bromont?) We should hinge the Canadian Meet around this event!

I noticed yesterday that Shop-Task now has a store in Toronto -- maybe we could get AJ Delong and the boys up for some fun??

I can house some r8 guys in Burlington which is a good link between alot of Vermont mountains and Montreal. Also have a drop in and rail/box in the backyard.

I'm going to be living and working at Mount Snow this year so I can house a couple guys at that stop as well as help with hookups for tickets (obviously there WILL be a stop there, right Dave?)

On the other hand, seeing as I will be working at a ski resort, and that is one of the busiest weeks of the year, the chances of me getting more than 2 of those days off work is slim to none. But I'll definitely try to make as many of them as possible. And I will definitely be shredding/drinking with you guys at Mount Snow.

On a related note, any of you guys are welcome to come crash this season if you want to ride Mount Snow. Just let me know, and I may even be able to hook you up with discounted tickets. (Beer donations of course are appreciated)

Yes you have to have a passport or Nexus Card to get into Canada from the US. --

sounds good to me. if im doing the whole thing, how much cash should i set aside for lift tickets/hotels

Dave Bloom
11-02-2011, 10:12 PM
That's a tough call. Lift tickets alone rack up in price. The hotels usually work out very well because we all just split it and cram many people into a few rooms. Then, just factor in food and gas. Usually people ride together so that gets split as well. So, overall the lift tickets are what makes it pricey. Credit cards work nice…until you get the bill in January haha.

I always thought you needed a passport, though there are some other options for frequent travellers. If you're a US resident, but not a citizen, check what you need so you don't get surprise at the border. I know people who have been turned away.

Dave Bloom
11-07-2011, 10:22 AM
Okay, sorry I have not been able to respond to a lot of this and give details on the tour. I was away for the weekend filming with Hein and Enouf.

You cannot cross the border either way (if you are a US citizen) without an up-to-date US Passport. It is a requirement and has been for about two years now.

The details for Montreal have not been set yet as far as which resort we will be meeting at.

In the next few weeks there will be details for the entire tour posted on here and the Facebook fan page. If you haven't already you should go on Facebook and 'like' the fan page because more updates go on there than go on here.

Bottom line: Since June 2009, everyone from every country arriving in Canada by air, land and sea has needed a passport or equivalent travel document. (Some exceptions apply to children's passport requirements). Besides an up-to-date passport, visitors may instead have an equivalent travel document, such as a NEXUS Card.

Dear Northeast,

Do you plan on having snow this year? We do not want to cancel The Junk Show Tour.

Sincerely,

A Pissed Off Snow Slider

MitchK
11-29-2011, 06:23 PM
You can move the tour to thr northwest then :)

Dave Bloom
12-03-2011, 07:46 PM
Sorry, Mitch. Most of the park riders in skiboarding today, including the majority of the Revel8 Team Riders, live in the northeast.

But, it seems like there is actually a chance the tour could get canceled if the temps don't start staying low and the snow gets there. The east coast resorts are not opening at all because they can't even blow snow. It is a total bummer.

JVAWN
12-04-2011, 10:03 PM
a buddy of mine is on the park crew at a local mountain i have a season pass to. he's telling me that evern if it gets cold right now it would be until at least the middle of december before the mountain was completely open. this blows.

Yeah, nothing but rain right now in my area. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it to any of the dates for the tour. I can't take any vacation because they've blacked out those dates at work from so many people taking off. Having said that, the fact that I work first shift now means I may be able to make it to the PA date or one of the NJ days for an evening.

Any chance the Junk Show Tour will come to Europe this year? Due to a lack of time and money I won't be able to get to the US this year either :(.

Dave Bloom
12-17-2011, 07:00 PM
Mount Snow has just been dropped from the tour. There is a possible add-on date on January 5th or 6th, but that will be a semi-last minute decision. They are taking the worst of all north east resorts and it wouldn't be justifiable for the entire tour to make a stop when they have so little open and expect so many people over the holiday week. It will be a zoo, something no one would enjoy. Although this is the situation for the time being we will definitely return to Mount Snow in the future as it is one of our favorite resorts on the east coast.

Dave Bloom
12-25-2011, 09:55 AM
Due to the nature of what the east coast of North America is looking like as far as snow conditions, or lack there of, the Canadian portion of the tour is postponed until later in the season and stops at Whiteface, Stratton, and Mount Snow have been removed. For the 30th and 31st we will be riding Killington in Vermont. Big Boulder, Mountain Creek, Loon, and Jay Peak will remain the same. For further information feel free to message me on here or contact me via email at fourdownproductions@gmail.com. We are sorry for any issues this may cause. Hoping for better snowfall and conditions in 2012.

In place there will be a Spring Steez tour the last week of March. Lets hope for snow.

How late will you guys be at Creek on Tuesday? I won't be able to get there until about 5pm, so I'm debating whether it's worth getting a ticket. I'd still like to come hang out either way.

Also, I'm definitely in for Spring Steeze. I had a blast last time at Mt Snow.
