Found these two links with info on Skiboarding that can use some updating. I'm posting to see what y'all have to say for an update and I will send it along. The MSN Encarta one actually lets you submit changes but I'd imagine if we "pen" something for the other site we may be able to make changes there too.

MSN Encarta – http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761574346_2/Skiing.html Under the Equipment section:

Another popular piece of equipment is the skiboard, which is also called the mini-ski. Skiboards are only about 60 cm (24 in) long.

If You Ski.com - http://www.ifyouski.com/Gear/Skiboard/

I know these are two places that most people will never visit but it can only help our sport to make sure all the info out there is as complete as possible.

Ola Loken found a (Norwegian) website that had a list of various slang words used in reference to illicit drugs, and what they meant, and/or what they where used about. Under the entry "Hashish-boards" (this is all translated from Norwegian, so it is not 100% accurate), it said the following:

Somewhat negative word used about "skiboards" or skibrett (direct translation of skiboard). It is used by people riding telemark and slalom skis, in reference to what they percieve as a negative skiboard community"

Ola sent a mail and asked the editor of the website to have this changed to "snowboard" instead, as the writer obviously could not have ment skiboards for the following reasons:
1. We know a similar term has been used about snowboarders in Norway, but we have never heard it used about skiboarders.
2. The word "skiboards" is non-existant in Norway, outside of Loken Industries. "Snowblades" is the common word, and anyone who wish to say somethign negative about skiboards, uses that word.
3. There isnt any "skiboard community" in Norway!

The answer he got, was that this was the online-version of a published book, and to make a change to the online-version, the editor would allso have to change the printed version.

and the definition of hashish???

Hashish (often shortened to hash, and also referred to by countless slang terms such as dope) is a psychoactive drug derived from the Cannabis plant. It is usually smoked in joints or pipes, but can also be pressed between two hot knives. It is also added to cookies or other food and simply ingested. It is used for its relaxing and mind-altering effects. Many people claim that using it gives them great insights.
