I bought some salomon performa boots.. they fit fairly well.. but I think I might ahve gotten a size too big, becuase they're comfortable now, but I know they'll loosen up over time.
Right now, the calf fits well, my toes can move up and down a little. Whats' the consequence of a boot that's too large? less control?
I think I can still return them.. they said within 30 days, They've been a little scuffed at the heels though cause I put em in my bindings

Being able to move your toes doesnt mean that they are too big.Thats what you want. As long as your heel and ankle dont move in the boot its okay. That and you want to make sure you dont have to buckle them all the way to the end of the buckle because after they pack out you wont be able to tighten them anymore. If they are just a little loose then you can get inserts to help take up some space. Remember to always buckle the boots once...stand up and lean forward on them(this sets your heel back) Then buckle them again...You should have to tighten them a little more the second time. If they are just too big then get a new set.You want to be comfortable while riding. If your not you will be miserable and you wont have fun. Also if your boots are loose it is far harder to hold an edge while carving. Your boot will wabble to much.

thx.. I think I'm gonna keep them.. I'd rather be comfortable.
Also, my ankle doesn't move.. I am jjust able to lift my toes to touch the roof. AND when I wear my big socks, It feels real good. If it loosens up it should still be alright.
thanks
