I got the chance to go and ride the new condors today. My first thought before I got onto the snow was they had too much flex for me. So I get the boards on and the first thing I noticed was that it felt like I had little boards on. It kinda feels like only under foot is actually on the snow. This felt a bit weird until I start to skate. 2 pushes and I could have ollied onto an urban rail no prob. They seem to skate better than anything Ive ever been on. I dont know if greco changed the base or if its been that long since I had virgin bases but they are so fast. On the first run I was lookin for some pow any pow. I found some. I think the best part of there design is there wasnt any fight to keep the tips up. I actually almost sat down I was pullin back so hard. They let you ride in deeper snow with a lot less effort. I felt fine riding in my normal stance. It was kinda skied off today but there were plenty of chunks and junk to change up the surface conditions. I was destroying these areas. even switch. I was able to plow through any crud that got in my way without so much as even noticing. I cant wait for a real powder day. Sorry I wasnt able to get vid for today I am still workin out my camera situation. I would have to say these are hands down the most bad ass skiboards ever created. I also didnt venture into the park so I cant say how they will do there but my guess is they will continue to surpass my expectaions at every turn.

Great to hear good things about these boards from someone besides Jack, no offense Jack. :)

I can't wait to get on my pair. Estimated delivery is tomorrow, but it will be a while before I can try them out I'm afraid.

Hi All,

I got my Rockered Condors out for the first time today and loved them. We only had groomers with a bit of the fluff from the snowmakers. Last time out I had hard wipeout from sinking my tips on my regular Condors. Not a problem today. These turn on a dime and very easy to edge and keep a tight parallel stance on. They plowed through the drifts of man made snow piles. They had a lot of hype to live up to, but they did that and more. They will be my main ride this season. Thanks G for the innovation!

I had a chance to take one of the two pair of Rockered Condor prototypes out for a day a couple of weeks ago. I was at Cannon Mountain in New Hampshire and conditions were unusual in that the temperature was in the 40s, although the snow was packed and fresh and a bit damp but not corn yet.

I've been skiing for 60+ years, so I've seen a lot of gear come and go and I've tried much of it. I'm 6'4" and 215 lbs, so I'm usually on Spruce longboards rather than shorter boards. I'm super conservative in my skiing and keep my speeds way down, so a short turn radius board is very comfortable.

The R/Cs felt very short when I started out. About like being on a 90cm board. So, I found that it's important to stay centered particularly because the tip and tail are so soft.

My overall impression of the board is that it is very quick, and is happy to go through most anything. In some moguls, I found the quickness and the soft tips made it easy to pick my spots. Staying in a low stance helped a lot also. As far as carving goes, I thought that the board carved fine in soft snow if you wanted it to and once it was hooked up it was possible to tighten up the turn radius. I think the board is happiest doing skidded turns, and those take no effort at all. It's not a board that is going to be comfortable for people that want to make precise carved turns all day, but if you are into a board that will let you try a lot of different techniques, it's a real blast.
