I've got a few questions about skiboards. First is, how hard are they to ride? I've skied, and snowboarded, and was relatively good at both. (I could 360 skis) I'm worried about high speeds, and front and rear stability, on skis it's almost impossible to be put on your ass unless your knees buckle. What I like about them is the price of them, and they look like they'll feel way more natural. I want the Line Mike Nick pro, with bomber elite bindings. I think this is a pretty expensive steup, but it couldn't hurt any. I would spend that much (or more) on skis if I were to buy those instead. I'm not to sure on which boots to get though, I like the looks of the Salomon verse 550 because of the more upright stance, but I'm not sure if this is desirable in a skiboard boot. I just don't want the back of legs to hurt because of too forward of a boot. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. wowza lon post!

Skiboards are easy to ride, and imho feel much more natural than skis or snowboards. If you can 360 on skis you should have no problem transitioning into skis. I have never had a stability issue, and that includes when I shot completely straight down a blue run with rolling hills (didn't even touch the last hill on the way down), so that has to say something for their stability. I've never had a forward/backward stability problem either. The setup you suggested there is actually a very nice setup. In fact most people on this board would tell you that that's pretty much the best overall setup you could get with boards that are already out. You do want an upright stance when you skiboard, and boots that have some forward/backward flex are a plus.

Thanks for the speedy reply, does anyone have experience with those boots then? Is there any disadvantages to the extra long ones? I want these to last me a long while. I dislike the uncertainy of growing.

You kinda messed up on this part. But I get you drift.
