Mt. High - Weekly Meetup

I hit Mt. High in southern California a few times a week.....anyone else out there?

My wife and I have been there a few times this year. We both work during the day during the week so we get the quad night passes. Since its been getting warm during the day we have been avoiding it due to the ice they develops at night as it cools. We have been going to Snow Summit or even driving to Brian Head , which we are going this weekend ,to get better conditions. Do you ever go at night? if so we have a coupe of passes left and could meet up.

I dont usually go at night, just to avoid to crowds of kids sitting in front of features - but I am more than willing to go out to wherever to meet up with another boarder.

I dont think I will be going anywhere this week because it's Valentine's day - I need to make sure I give my girlfriend lots of lovey-dovey attention :) But next week I am free all week at anytime - I own my own business and my managers can handle everything.

Im also down for carpooling, I live in downtown LA, so if you are on the way Im more than happy to pick you up.

What's your schedule look like?

Hey Dave,
It located in Wrightwood,CA about a half hour from our home. We are headed home Wed the 29th. I really don't think it would measure up to the other places you are going to. Bear Mountain would have a much bigger and better park. But if you want to try I'd be more than happy to help you get there. We can talk about it more a SF. Winter, well be in Brian Head this and next weekend and Shredfest the week after that. Pretty booked until March but I definitely want to meet up.

Ah, everyone is heading to Shredfest! I seriously thought about going, but its my first season back in in quite a while and wanted to get myself us to speed first. A lot of new stuff has come out in the last 8 years!

Big Bear has a much better park setup than most of the mountains I've hit, Colorado and Tahoe has some great long riding mountains, but I dont think the parks are anywhere as nice.

I live in Hollywood and try to make it to Mt. High on weekends. Was there last on Sunday, 2/12 (on some rented 94 cm. Heads. Super fast and shallow hard pack, but they really need a storm.

I'm off to Tahoe for President's Day weekend to try out my new Elan 125's. Haven't heard any reviews on them, so we'll see.

I hit Big Bear last December, and I'm hoping to make it to Mammoth at least once this season. Still, can't beat MH for the distance and the points pass. I usually go with a female friend (she's a skier), and I'm usually limited to weekends. I'm up for either carpooling or meeting up - any time after next weekend.
