With the incredible amount of snow that we are getting in Northwest (88'' right now a Baker, 45'' at Crystal, 37' at Stevens, and 20'' at Snoqualmie) I expect to be heading up to Baker next week and into the terrain park. Last year right the snow began melting in January (it was the worst year in decades) I was just starting to get down some basic grabs so what should I learn next? What are the easiest things to learn for now? I don't think that they'll have the rails set up but a few jumps should be open.

Thanks

go for spins. then add grabs to your spins.

If you can find some smaller rails to learn on, those are super easy. Once you have the balance to do one rail, you can do pretty much any with a little practice. I'd say try spins, but make sure you're really comfortable riding fakie first. That will make spins a lot easier.

Roussel is right on with this one. The best thing you can do is start with 180's then move on to 360's in the meanwhile mix up your air time with grabs, maybe alternating every other hit. When you feel comfortable doing spins and grabs then trying combining them. One of my personal favorite tricks is the 180 Lui kang and/or 360 Lui Kang.
