You do what you do but i don not agree with it. You should think at the offence your picture could cause to others before posting it.
Howler
11-11-2005, 06:27 AM
he has every right to post it and it is only natural to hunt

Well I'm not a huge fan of hunting myself but if you're against it then it only makes sense not to look at a thread entitled "Hunting"...luckily this message board doesn't have a bunch of dumb-ass restrictions like other message boards...
Nice job Dave, I've never even seen a buck that big when I've been hunting.

The difference there is you would be doing that to intentionally piss me off. He just posted something he was proud of doing that most people don't have a problem with, and I am sure are not related to that deer.

Howler the thing that annoyed me was the pictures of the innocent murdered animal and your stupid comment on that hunting is natural. Hunting by humans for sport is not natural and in my opion and is a blood sport. Also you said that most people are not annoyed by it, how do you know? are you psychic?

um...... tiffy? uh.... hate to break it to you but did you read all daves osts on this? um... well if you did you would have read that he butchered it and got about 90lbs of meat from it.... i think that is hunting cause your hungry not for sport.

I'm done arguing Tiffy, neither of us will change our minds it is pointless
Tiffy
11-13-2005, 11:03 AM
Yes i am not gonna change my mind about my views but if the animal was killed for meat and not just for fun then i suppose thats different. My only point was that i did not like seeing the pictures of the dead animal on the forum thats all.

Personally, I would say that this is a lot more natural than say... factory farms where the vast majority of our meat comes from, and the animals never get to leave a cell. I know a lot of states also use hunting as population controls, and base the laws around that. Most likely he got a lot of meat out of the deer too, so its just like cutting out the middle man.
In the end though, it just all boils down to a moral question, and we shouldn't be arguing on this board.

it's okay Dave.....I'm not a huge hunter either....but nice buck anyway man. Killing for food and populatiion control is one thing and necessary...it's the people who kill for pure trophy that suck.
By the way TED NUGENT RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(bow hunter supreme)

i dont mount my deer, but i do take my time to get all the meat off the deer. and i do look at it as lowering the population. there are many car crashes in my area that are related to deer.

some deer that are hit u can still save some of the meat.
A lot of people from the UK don't understand things like hunting, but instead of leaving it to those who do understand they try and enforce their own ideals and opinions on rural affairs. Hunting was recently banned in the UK by a load of city boy politicians. I went to a pretty heated protest against the ban outside the houses of parliament on the day the law was voted on by our MPs. It got pretty out of hand and the police started smashing anyone and everyone with their batons. I had someone elses blood all over my jumper. They were just bashing people's heads like they were pumpkins. At one stage I was pinned against this policeman's riot shield and he had his baton raised above his head shouting at me to get off him, which was impossible considering that there were about 1000 people behind me pushing us all forward. Luckily I managed to move before he hit me. It was my own fault though for going right to the front, but I managed to get some interesting photos (which I would post if I wasn't such a retard and didn't know how). Oh and I was on TV on the BBC too.
Priorities in the UK are all wrong, it's mad! So much ignorance and resentment.

Rich lets just set the record straight here. Hunting was banned in the UK because its a sport. A big group of toffs go out for the day to hunt simply for the fun of it. There are ways of hunting for population controls which do not mean you all have to get dressed up like a bunch of twats and get on your horses and go tally ho!! and by the way who kills the foxes? dogs thats who you are such a bunch of gutless knobs that you cant even do it yourself.

And by the way Rich i work in a hospital and a man who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and expressed his views to the protesters that he didnt like hunting was given a real big kicking and chucked of a bridge. So it wasnt just the cops doing the beating that day was it.

i think this post has gone on too long, we all have our different opinions on hunting and its good that we can debate over it. Myself will listen but probably never understand.

i'm with you on the sport/feeding family thing and kirk was dead on about factory farming, it's the worst. even thought i don't eat meat/fish or use animal products i'm OK with hunting if it's not for sport. it was difficult to see the pics dave posted though.

Tiff see it this way..if hunting was bann'd in the USA ..theres a good chance that we would just start hunting ourselves

I live in Minnesota and if hunting was banned here anyone who worked in the capitol would have to move to a different state or they would be hunted down. Deer hunting here is huge and so are other types of game.
Those pictures are awesome.

Tiffy....If you hate hunting so much why do you keep coming back to this thread? Not nice to rip a whole country. No need to call them all "guttless knobs who dress up like twats". There are a lot of people on this forum that like hunting obviously. Lets not start calling them names and bashing them. Nobody is bashing you and calling you names for being an animal lover right? Some people grew up hunting with their dads and family and such and is kind of tradition. While it may not appeal to you it might to others. Just remember that we are all individuals and we wre all raised different and we like to do different things, but we ALL share one love...SKIBOARDING. Nothing Dave put in this thread was directly aimed at offending anybody. He was just showing his fellow skiboarders and the ones who like to hunt something he was proud of. Nothing more.

Purvenom i was bashing tht country that im from. I take your points on board but i was pointing out the facts that in the uk hunting with dogs was banned not hunting in general. Hunting with dogs is when a group of people for social reasons go out with a pack of dogs and track down foxes and the dogs then rip them apart.
PureVenom
11-21-2005, 11:25 AM
Yep....I know how fox hunting goes. Seen it a few times before. Nothing very sporting about that in my opinion or necessary for that matter. Some places it is necessary to send the dogs out after them to protect their livestock but its certainly not for social reasons. I understand your point of view though.
