Hey,
My name is David, and I'm basically here because my wife dropped a hint on me that she wanted to try skiboarding. She has been snowboarding for about 6 yrs now, and she's really good at it, but she is ready to try something new. I only know about snowboarding, so I am looking for some help with this new venture.
Anyway, I want to get her some nice gear....now I saw the $400 deelux boots which are out of my range. I'm looking to get a setup that will remain advanced enough for her as she gains experience and skill. She is 5'6" or 5'7" and weighs 125 lbs. I don't really know what size to get her. She isn't a huge trickster on snowboards (no pipes or parks). She will use these most on a groomed slope. Other than that, she will use the skiboards to get down a large mountain quickly after we hike to the summit (think mount shasta size) - so the gear should also be good for allmountain riding too. Like I said, I want top quality gear at a reasonable price. I think I read that people like the Mick Nick Pros with the FF Pro bindings. But I also read that Snowjam and Canon Heritage were good....so what do you guys suggest? Also, what about boots? Should I be concerned about getting non-release bindings (she's my reason for living....i dont want her hurt)? I appreciate your help and look forward to purchasing some good stuff from this site!
