I'm fairly new to skiboarding. I'm looking at my first pair of boards to buy. I'm currently looking at the Snowjam 90cm for all around riding, but mainly for groomed trails. I'm like 5'10" and around 140 lbs. or so. Are these decent boards for me? Any other suggestions without bein' 2 pricy?

if saving money is your first concern then the snowjams can't be beat. if you were more concerned with going fast and being able to hold your carve while going fast i would recommend something longer since you're 5'10 and can handle 99's or longer at that height. i guess it depends on your price range.

And keep in mind that there are fairly cheap (just another 20 bucks over the 90's) SnowJam 99 cm if you want that longer length. And SnowJam's are apparantly very good beginner boards.

I hope they won't hold me back when I try to do advanced tricks or it may break in half. :p

the 99s are a lot skinnier then the 90s and 75's

I got a pair of snowjam90 for this season. Used them once so far. I had a good experience on them. They get my vote. BTW I'm 5'8" and 165lbs.

I have used Snowjam 75's all last season. Great boards. I had total control of them in all conditions. They're a bit short for the deep stuff though, I definitely made a few instant snow angels last year.
I'm movin on up to the 99's this year.

The 99s start losing their parabolic shape. That's the only thing that has me worried to moving up from my 90s.
