Ok heres my dilemma
First off does anyone here have big Calfs(sp?)?
Usually I fit a size 10 but have moved up to a Size 11 in Skiboot sizes
THE PROBLEM IS
my calfs :(
Should I move up a size more? or is there anyway to mold them right?
Im stuck off the slopes right now due to this
Just recieved my Line Pros today and I can't do anything until I have properly fitted boots.

I've tried on Rossignol Soft Lite 1's in a size 11
The toe has about a couple of mm's of spacing from the toe of the boot but my calfs keep the top buckle from lcoking in
Kneissel Rails same dilemma
Most salomon boots same problem

I've had that problem with my first boots, the Nordica's. What you should do is not look for the size, but look for another manufacturer that makes a boot that has a large enough area around your calf.

Check to see if the top buckles and strap design are (majorly) expandable to fit big calf sizes like you have.

While it probably will discourage you because you had a set brand/type of boot in mind, in the long run, your feet will thank you for it.

Took me about 2 years and 4 boots later to find out same size different brand/model makes a difference.

Kniessl Rails have the chief complaint about small calf sizing. My wife has a set that that I had to adjust the grommet insert of the top adjustment band out one hole (there is only one hole to expand to). It is a royal pain in the ass to do without a good set of pliers, but once accomplished we were good to go.

I agree in contacting a boot maker or even better go to a pro shop to fit them there prior to buying anything. Remember a lot of comfy-ness comes after the break-in period...don't get sold on a set of boots that is brandy-spanking new and fits well in the store...I gar-ruhn-tee you that they'll lossen up over a few days of riding and then you'll be pissed that you need more socks to fill up the space.

Me personally, I ride Line Transfer boots (Size 13) and never use more than I pair of regular knee-high socks. My feet are never cold (technology is great for insoles) and I don't have to feel like my feet are strapped into pillows to be comfortable. The initial break-in was a bit uncomfortable but 2-4 days of riding later. the insoles gave the right way...nicely I might add. Definitely worth the time and effort to be choosy about boots. Happy feet equals much better days of riding...in you case Happy Calves.
