NEW PLAN!!!!!

Dean from the ISF talked to Managment at Sauveur, and they gave us the thumbs down on coming.... thats right, we got denied....

the new plan is the exact same as the old plan! except we are now riding at Val-St-Come, (thanks to alex for the headsup) it is a mere 40 minutes away from Our hotel, so it shouldnt be that much of a hassle. So the new deal is, we have 20 riders, a bunch of cameras, a sick condo, a sick park, AND now we have no worries about not being able to ride.... its gonna be a fantastic weekend, i apologize for any trouble this caused anyone, but the company, and the experience will more then makeup for the poor desicions of an ignorant mountain

See you all on friday!

OK, so everyone boycott Sauveur and start getting psyched about the new mountain. their website is http://www.valstcome.com and i'll attach a pic. i'm not finding any pics of their terrain park.

hey greco i understand your decision...but if your planning to go 40 minutes away why not go to mont blanc or tremblant?
Mont Blanc (http://www.ski-mont-blanc.com)
Tremblant (http://www.tremblant.ca)
I've been to St. Come, and I personally find it's far for nothing...Mont Blanc is an awesome mountain that's only 20 minutes from your condo, but any descision you take I respect

i second vitulla's motion. if we went to tremblant that would be super sick. ive never been to mont blanc but i do hear its pretty good and its close. tremblant is supposed to be super sick thos this year, maybe this picture will sway your opinion....need i say more???

kevinb

just another for posterity...as well they are supposed to have an up rail to snow table to down rail.

Vitulla
01-19-2004, 08:01 PM
yea kevinb...trembalnt would be perfect and its just as far, and for 20$ more you get soooo much more, but like i said, any decsion is good, but if its val st.come, i doubt i'll be able to make it...

OK, I just spoke to my partner in crime...wannamaker and how about we go to mont blanc on saturday and then st. come on sunday? the reason why we we're thinking st. come is based on alex b's recommendation. he said their park is ranked in the top 5 of canadian parks. if that's not accurate we could do blanc both days. we don't care, we just want the best park. oh yeah and we're not considering tremblant because ben and I both shot their last season and ben wants to get different mountains/hits/features for his new movie so tremblant has already been played out.

sounds like a plan...looks like i'll be attending only on saturday then unless someone could give me a lift from the condo to st. come? but greco if i order a pair of boards, your gonna put them in your car and pass them to me at mont blanc? or we'll work something out?

Greco

hold on. ben and i are discussing this as week speak...

Vitulla

on second thought, i'm not so sure about mont-blanc unless we get some pics. The reason for this is that i don't want to be held up for a shitty snowpark...Hopefully you guys understand what the hell I'm talking about...but there's so much choice...but since we take out 5(all the stations that belong to sauveur) were left with few in the laurentians...maybe gray rocks? i would of said jay peak on sunday so for all the americans there not too far away...but that's a opinion

SO!!!!!

amidst all of the crazyness and chaos we have come to an 80% conclusion.

Because the shoot at tremblant was in variable conditions, and the snow wasnt that good, the story now is that tremblant is the place we are going to be. Same deal with lodgings and all of that, but until we get some good concrete information on the state of Mont Blanc, Tremblant is going to be where its at.....

We again apologize for all the chaos that has ensued. Please reply with thoughts, we still have 4 days to sort out whats happening.

Roussel its simple... just come to the Condo sunday morning
and we'll give you a lift to wherever we go! is that ok?

if we go somewhere other than Tremblant on sunday I just
read the Chantecler was pretty sick this year.... they
had flat-downs, down-flat-downs, double kink, c rail,
straight rail, rainbow, battleship , 40feeter and 67 feeter!

I can fit 3 (including me). I have a truck so I can fit extra gear in the bed if people run out of trunk space.

Greco

that's great cd. that truck bed will be a huge help i'm sure.

I received an E-mail from Tremblant bringing, finally, good news to the table!

they're glad we chose their mountain and they confirmed that the Gravité park is fully opened all weekend and that only a small portion of the new south park will be closed for the jib competition. The rest of that park will be opened all weekend!

so we pretty much get to ride it all but a small section (that we can still ride at specific times).

They are also going to be opened for night skiing in the parks
and they told me "we'll be open for night skiing which is great for filming"
so if for some reason filming sucks during the day we'll just buy a night lift ticket to go shoot in the south rail park! =P

Is anyone going to be taking still shots at Trem? I'm thinking of bringing my camera stuff. Anyone here ever shoot 35mm on the slopes?

Greco
01-20-2004, 04:07 PM
i have but using my digital still camera because it's is so much easier to get them on the web and it takes great pics. just which i could change lenses. however, there is going to be so much to shoot i'm bringing the old 35mm's too.

i did use a 35mm once back at mt. high in cali when i filmed andy stewart's first uss comp. i should find those pics and scan them

Alex-TRS

another bit of good news!

the price for night skiing at Tremblant is 20$ (thats for the south park only though I think... I doubt lights are up in the Gravité park)

so well we may want to hit that park saturday nite for a while and get some more footage =PP we'll see then I guess!

Alex-TRS
01-20-2004, 09:24 PM
once again, no problem vitulla! the place is all yours

hmmm about Sauveur..that's weird... first they say NO and then they say they do all they can? yeah right....
well if they finally decide to let us go we might go for one of the days....but not both thats for sure!

tremblant needs to be hit =P
