View Full Version : Sauveur Weekend from Hell!!!

I figured i'd start a new thread for all the stories from the past weekend. Just to recap... about 15 skiboarders from all over the northeast met at a house in St. Sauveur, Qeubec for a weekend of partying and skiboarding.. the partying was world class but the skiboarding was seriously effected by the weather along with most of the american's cars. Moral of the story, don't plan any events in Canada in January (i was wondering why tremblant calls january "value season")

this pic sums up how cold it was on the mountain.... if you need numbers it was -30 degrees

What do you mean no Labatt beers? Budweiser is brewed by Labatt's in Canada!...
Weather was shitty, but good times were still had, believe me. You can always count on Greco to provide a great environment to inspire good skiing. Its just too bad Momma Nature didn't comply.

the beer in the fidge wasn't purchased on name or taste but purely on alcohol content... i love how you canucks put the alcohol content on every box in nice big writting. the beer we got ranged from 6.9% to 4.7% .. the youngsters 19-21 got the 4.7 and the older fella's got the 5.7 and 6'9's. at least that was the plan until more people brought even more beer and other goodies and a good time was had by all!

Well all though I didn't get to ride with you guys, I certainly enjoyed my boards, and the weather was damn cold. Anyways Saturday I had to pick up my boards (Snowjam 90cm=orgasmic) so I called the condo and told Greco I was gonna pass by. So we drove for like 30 minutes since Kilpatrick was a huge street. We finally found it, and Greco warned e about a huge mountain to climb but it was sick. Anyways we got out of the car and my father said"I don't have a good taste in my mouth" meaning he didn't feel right thinking that it was a scam. Since my dad had had bad experience's on online shopping, he thought the same of this one. So we ring and Greco answer's(really cool guy if you never meet him)So he makes us go and in, and to my surprise everyone has a beer in their hands watching the hockey game...hahaha anyways so Greco introduces to us, and for once my dad isn't embarassing me. And then I get my stuff and he spills it. "So everyone snowblades, right?" I want to body check him into the wall cause i told him all the way there that it's called skiboards. So i tryed correcting him even there. Anyways so i get my stuff and we leave...everyone there was really cool. When we got in the car my dad actually said..."Danny, you finally found someone reliable on the internet" So we went home and my dad did comment on the stench of weed but he said that as long as they weren't making trouble, he really didn't care. Anyways all and all great experience with SBOL and Greco! Oh and sorry i didnt ride with you guys on Sunday. I was gonna come but in the morning it was so cold i decided not to come.hopefully i could ride with you guys some other time...maybe at jay peak(that would be awesome)

last time i was in US, somebody told me this:
Q what does american beer and sex on a boat have in common?
A it is fucking close to water.... :D

yeah, but canadian beer looses against latvian, for sure! actually, you can get some in toronto, and some cities in the states

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... Based on the Mary consumption going on in the chalet, I would have probably been more surprised had he not said anything... I remember thinking how bad it must of smelt. Greco was just happy that we weren't actually smoking one at the time of the arrival.
I actually have great experience with being embarassingly fucked up around ski parents though. Just ask Andy Stewart's mom about that one. She had the "privledge" of hangin in the chalet after I won the XGames... Her first impression of me must've been interesting for sure. I remember tryin to be so composed when I met her. haha. Funny memory...
PS That hill was indeed a mission...

yea my friend went last week(free bus on saturdays and sundays either from montreal(3 locations) or burlington(3 locations)) and he said that IT was all about the snow. He said that he stopped in an intermediate glade to fix his hat and glove, and was stuck in knee deep powder. Oh and they just opened their snowpark this week.
