So I bought a pair of boots off ebay. The Soft Rossi lights. They were really cheap and brand new. Well they were a bit too small. (I think I read here they come a half size small after I won.) No bigger sold them to a friend. So we were going awaylast weekend and being a now person I wanted my new boots. So I go to the local sports store. I get the same boots in the next size up 27. After the 26.5's these felt great in the store. I was in there for awhile walking around. Well of course I had to pay like $100 more than I did from my first ebay ones.
So we go to Austria and it's great. the weather, my new skiboards and boots! Woohoo!! Well after the 2nd day my feet really start to hurt. My boots are now feeling too big, how could there be such a big difference in the half size, I think to myself. Well upon taking them off, I look on the underside and it says 27.5!!! The box and the little stickers on the boots said 27! So they were mislabeled. I'm soo pissed. I can't return them either b/c returns just don't happen in Italy. Dumb me, though I worked in a shoe store in HS, should have known to look at the boot itself!!

that sucks! cant you just wack something in the bottom of them so they fit properly?

That's not a mistake on these boots. The hard plastic bottoms are only made in full-size increments, ie 26.5, 27.5, 28.5, etc. I have the same boots in size 28.

Your 27 has more internal padding than a 27.5. Check the tongue for the real size of the boot.

As for paying more, you must learn to be patient. You can literally, pay less than half for most items you buy online. Or even better wait until the end of the season, when you can save like 75% on most items.

its always good to take a boot that has a tight fit at first becuase you will break them in and the lining in the boots is made to mold to you feet

I know I should wait but unfortunatly patience is not one of my virtues.
I went out this morning and I put my sneaker liners into my boots. It felt great at first but my feet were still killing me for like the first 2 hrs. I think it may be the boot. I'll just keep these for the rest of this season and look again after the season. I wish they would let you try boots for a day before you bought them.
