Hi Everybody,

I started skiing this year (I come from a country where a cold winter's day may just cross 32F:o ). I have been eyeing the skiboarders having sooo much fun for a while now.

I am old enough not to want to tear a ligament or break a bone any more (I will leave that to my son on his snowboard;) ).

In my research I bumped into both the Spruce Riser and the IBS RevolutionX releasable bindings. I also bumped into the Lange Ski boots with the RRS system that allows for a release from a backwards fall. The one thing I could not find was recommendations on skiboards and how to size them. I am 5'11" and 127 lb and would consider myself to be a low intermediate skier. All I want to do is normal carving. I found the site http://www.ski-injury.com/ and this site very usefull in at least highlighting the areas that needs attention when selecting skiboarding equipement.

Any recommendation as to a skiboard as well as the relative merrits of the Spruce Riser vs the IBS RevolutionX will be appreciated.

Thanks and happy boarding.

ciceror,

based on your size and that you want to carve, i would recommend the canon m7's.

the choice between rev x and spruce will be an easy one because the rev x has been discontinued and is no longer available.

let me know if you have any other questions.
