Well, my friends, the day has arrived. My local snow season is over - barring a blizzard. And even then, the resorts would not reopen once they shut ... but I still could be XC and snowshoeing. Anyway, it does little good to dwell on the past, so as my Buddhist practice recommends, I work to stay in the present. I am making the transition from winter to spring. Out come the kayaks, jet ski, mountain bikes, mountain boards, dirt bikes, scuba gear and inline skates. The past 2 winters I have been learning to snowboard. This winter I also learned to ice skate at 52 during the snow-less January drought. Next winter hope to take up alpine snowboarding with hard boots. Always trying to learn and improve. The other option is to lose abilities and not improve.

Thanks Greco for doing so much work in promoting the sport of skiboarding. And, thanks all the forums participants that help make the forums what they are... a useful tool where other skiboarders can meet. Don't know how many lurkers are here, but maybe next season they can start to participate as well for if we all lurked it would not be much a forum. I think one of the biggest lessons I learned here was to develop patience with others when it comes to discussing our sport or accepting the smart ass comments that we sometimes hear without getting our feathers ruffled too much. The best revenge is to skiboard well.

Take care and hopefully see you all next season,

Dan

Later bro, down here in the southwest we still have a little over a month to go, and then it's about over.

Next years is not so far away, just a few more months! Well, ok, many more months, but it'll be here before ya know it,

AND

SBOL Forums will be a lot bigger with more people too.
