What brand gloves would you guys recommend? I am in need of some new gloves and need a good pair to buy and know absolutely nothing about them.

dakine makes warm gloves and mittens. if you want your hands to never get wet get some with gore-tex it really is worth it.

Burton makes nice Goretex gloves...unfortunately mine didn't fit so I returned them. I picked up a pair of Scott USA gloves which so far have worked just fine. They have a neoprene inner cuff that you can cinch down to keep snow from getting into them when you wipe out. The Burton's had an inner glove and a seperate outer goretex shell. You're almost better off finding a local shop and trying on whatever they have there and picking something.

Drop makes good gloves also you can get gore tex with them also. they also have an inner liner so if your hands get too warm you can take them out and if they get cold you can put them back in

yeah, they're ghetto, but the best gloves I have had have all been made by Kombi (I have owned 3 pairs and loved them all). They last me 4-5 seasons and always keep my hands warm. Plus they're about $20 a pair.
I got some head gloves for like $20 this year and they've been great.
burton superpipe gloves are the best gloves EVER

I am with griswald, Kombi makes the best stuff. Got myself a nice pair of ski gloves and I have been really happy with them. Used them in Colorado and in Michigan and Wisconsin, no matter the climate, my hands never got too hot or too cold, stayed great!

My husband and kids just got new gloves this season, some euro brand. They were quite expensive and they complain that their hands are always cold. I have a pair I bought in Switzerland 7 years ago, My hands are always dry and warm and I think I paid $20. Definitly make sure they have gore-tex!

I'll second that one...
Costco baby $15 Head Outlast or some crap like that
I also had the drop gloves and they tore to shizzle in no time at all.
I have some Marker gloves as well which are thinner for the warmer days and those are great as well.
The best gloves however are probably mitts with a liner glove on the inside. Your fingers will get cold with any glove before a mitt and liner combination and it doesn't matter which glove either.
If you don't need poles you don't need gloves (and you still have the inner liner glove on when you attach bindings and such, which are thin enough to work with)
Now I just need to take my own advice and get me some...lol

Burton and Quiksilver are my weapons of choice. The quiksilver ones are great, fully water proof, thick insulation and gortex outters - your hands will never go cold in them.
The burton ones are thinsulate gloves. They're almost like a second skin, but very warm at the same time. No trouble undoing bindings and boot buckles, even unclipping leashes.
