I know some of you out there must have more information on Mix. SkiboardMag has been teasing us for months and now that their website (http://www.mixindustries.com) is up I'm even more curious. Anyone care to ruin the surprise and tell us what this is all about?

Mix are a company thats more in tune to the underground then any board company to date. Keep your eyes on them.

Yeah, they're gonna be making the boards that the riders want, like new sizes, grindplates, and more. Definately gonna be woth the wait. The best boards ever should finally be here soon.

if they plan on doing grindplates/soul plates im there..
my 2nd prototype is almost perfect and should be within a
week. I want to sell this idea =P haha
or at least help the industry get something universal out the
door so we can teach a thing or two to those free skiers about
grinding =)

haha.....yeah crazydave offered me and rolla to manufacture
them out of solide aluminium blocks.... we'll see how it works
out. we wanted to produce a batch and send them to you
for distribution.
we'll start off by getting a lighter working model with
possibly the UHMW on it and then we will produce some
more for sale.
I also need alot of board/binding/boots specs....
you might be able to help me out on this greco.
see the current system works with my setup
m7s/td1/1080 boots.
but if the boot is larger then it wont work out
if the binding is wider, same deal
and if the board is larger, also a problem.
so we need to figure out the widest of all of these aspects
and build a plate for that "wide" setup. then that setup
will work out for every setup.
do you think you could find out those specs and compare
them to my current setup so I know what I need to make wider
and such? =) or direct me to specs somewhere

you could make one large soul with a type of binding adjustment system, which would allow it to fit wider boards and boots. you could have 2 slots that go perpendicular to the skiboard with notches and grooves in the slots. the bolt would set in these grooves and go down into the binding, thus locking it in position to prevent sliding around. you could put spacers in if deemed necessary as well.
skiboards vary by a few centimeters in width, so it wouldnt be that big of a deal to have that much more metal sticking out on the inside.
i know some ppl here in Latvia who works with metal proffessionaly! maybe we could make some alex's soulplate agency in Europe??? ;)

alrighty CRazyDave emailed me and its all settled.
he will machine a plate with my current specifications out
of an aluminium block. He will do slotted holes so that
the plate and be fitted closer or farther from the boot/binding
to fit larger boards/bindings/boots.
this way my system will be universal to all 4x4 skiboards!!!!!!!
sick shit Im so stocked.
On my part I'll do the necessary to get UHMW or any good
plastic around here for cheap and do tests do fit it on the
chassis. should be hella easy.
as for production in europe...sure once we get a good receipe
and it can sustain a good dose of grinding! =P
we'll keep you guys posted!
