Right now I have a 88/90 tuner. I see that SBOL is now selling a 88/89/90 tuner.

I read that most people just tune their skiboards to 90 base and side. This is what i have been doing.

Has anyone tried 89* base and side? It seems like that would be better for ice and very hard pack, but possible too grabby on normal PA hard pack. Does anyone use 88* for either base or side?

How does the new tuner compare to the old 88/90 tuner SBOL used to sell? How much are replacement files?

the new tuner is much nicer. i haven't tried it yet but it's higher quality. why don't you try the different base angles and report back with us? i haven't heard of too many people experimenting with them.

What's the " general " angle for sharpening ?

90

89 or 88 makes it sharper but can wear down easier since its thinner.
