Hey guys.. I'm starting to use a new video editing suite and I was wondering if everyone can view mpeg2 clips. so, try viewing this and let me know if you have any problems.. i hope it works because the resolution is way better, the file size is about half and the video displays twice as big.

Thanks,

G

ok, here's the real test... can you click on the big image in the middle of this page:

http://www.skiboardsonline.com/html/gallery/events/2004mtcreek/ethan.htm

and get the video to play. i couldn't. same file: ethan_fakie_backlate180.mpg
i can play the videos with an external player like windows media but i can't play the mpeg2 videos within my web browsers. IE or Netscape. I think it might just be my browsers but that's what I need to determine.

Thanks,

G

No, I cant play the videos inside my browser either.
Actually I'm using Mozilla Firefox 0.8 ...

When I download the mpeg2 it's no problem - viewed with windows media player.
Normally I'm doing it the same way allz does - downloading the vids and watch them with my player ;)

Make that big picture link to a new page. then put this code in it:

<embed src="http://www.skiboardsonline.com/images/gallery/events/2004mtcreek/ethan/ethan_fakie_backlate180.mov"
pluginspage="http://www.apple.com/quicktime/"
controller="true"
loop="false"
height="256"
width="320"
autoplay="true"
scale="tofit">

to see exactly what it will look like, go here (http://www.ultimatehtmlhelp.com/sbol.html)

it opened the file with the player, not in the web page. anyways, i ALWAYS save files on disc before playing them (i don't like web-players, although i know they protect the files from copying)
