long story short I have whats called a floating knee cap, in essence its not as strong as it should be. I have two knee braces currently, a simple compression wrap, and a neoprene with a velcro strap on the top and the bottom.

anyone else use one ? Im not sure the simple compression is provinding the support I need, however it cant be too strong so that i cant have a full range of motion.

anyone try the " cho pat " knee brace? looks like this

I dislocated my knee cap for the first time about 12 years ago, since then have done it more then 8-10 times. I used a very restrictive brace, but it happened more with that thing on. I don't use one now, but have also done quiet a bit of biking and that has certainly strengthened my knees for sure. I also don't jog as it creates more pressure on the knee, i roller blade.

Might also try blading if you don't already in the off season.
