Okay so i got these about 4 years ago they are Salomon SB Tens. They look just like the skiboards on this site they are wide and both tips look equal. They are not shaped like the rest of the skiblades i have seen on the mountain. Im pretty sure i saw skiboard somewhere on the packaging. I have asked some people from my school but i got mixed answers. Anyone know about these?

Yeah, they're technically skiboards. They're certainly salomons best attempts at skiboards, although still not very impressive. They are an 8-hole binding with foam core, but at least they have the shape right. Check out that link in the recent line thread; it links you to a skiboard magazine section where skiboards are archived. They're in there.

The definition of skiboard is actually pretty loose. Some people consider snowblades to be really low quality crappy skiboards. The SBTen's are the closest thing to a true quality skiboard that Salomon ever put out. The main problems with them are that they are 8-hole bindings and foam core which absolutely kills the flex and strength of the boards. The shape is about right for a skiboard, and they have plastic bindings. If you enjoy riding them is the only thing that really matters though, and once you go beyond their abilities, or break them, you can always upgrade to a pair of wood core 4x4 boards with some real bindings and feel the difference.

I like SB10s. Nice forgiving ride, great medium flex, and not a bit bouncy. They are better with a metal binding, but not a bad place to start. Still have my pair, and still use them sometimes.
