Hi all! Here is my review I posted in the SBOL store:

These are just amazing boots. Everyone told me that before I bought them...but really, how good can they be? Well, they are amazing! Very high quality construction and fit/finish. Very nice adjustability and walk modes. I love the 2nd buckle angle....it really pulls the heel in nice and snug. I also love the way the first buckle is backwards -- I have had that buckle pop open many times during carves with regular ski boots on. Just a great improvement overall.

I would have bought '04 - '05 model, but my size is hard to find (especially this late in the season). All I can say is that I'm glad I spent the money. I was getting worried that I would have to buy some really nice ski boots and pay a couple hundred more for a custom boot fitter (my feet are wide). So, these actually ended up SAVING me money I think. The ThermalFlex liners......WOW...that's the least I can say about them. They are so easy to mold and fit perfectly to your feet. I have pressure points because my feet are wide, but these shells are wide enough to let the liner expand out and relieve those pressure points. They completely snugged up around my entire foot, while also giving enough room to be comfortable. They really are like putting on a nice pair of socks they fit so well!! I also never thought I would like the curved base so much, but that is a huge improvement over ski boots when it comes to walking around. Stairs are no problem!

Highly recommend these! They have enough adjustments to fit your needs. ~harrysiii

EDIT: I will post more experiences once I have actually ridden a day in them (hopefully this coming weekend!).

hey everyone....just a quick update.

I went riding for most of the day on Saturday at Ragged Mountain in NH. The had a lot of powder and the weather was awesome!

This was the first time I had these boots out, and the first time i'd ever adjusted my own bindings.

well, my left board came off in the lift line. hehe i guess they weren't tight enough. thought it was a fluke, so i went up the lift anyway. well, on my first attempt at a turn, it came off again. i sat on the side of the trail for a little bit and got them just right. didn't have that problem again all day.

anyway, the boots fit and feel awesome. they were totally warm (although it was not cold out after the early morning). my right foot got a little pinch in the same spot, but not enough to make my toes go numb or cause a sharp pain. I am going to re-mold that liner again just to give that foot a little more room on that pressure point though.

other than that, every thing went very smoothly. i highly recommend these boots to anyone with non-releaseable bindings. the walk mode is incredible and makes going up and down stairs just as easy as soft snowboard boots. I still can't get over how comfortable these things are!! They were just a perfect fit to my feet all day long....such a nice feeling and relief for a change!

one last thing to add.....

I can't tighten the top two buckles enough. well, the 2nd from the top i can loosen one notch when i need to, but the top one i can have all the way buckled and it is still just hanging on there. is this normal with this boot?

the reason why it's strange for me is while my calves aren't huge, they also aren't small, and I have always find that boots are too tight there for me and I can't loosen them enough, so i thought that was strange.

i mean, the boots fit awesome, and i can ride in them...i just think that needs to be tighter for a little more support. the bottom two buckles are only one the first and second notch.

do i need one of those boot straps? is there anything else i can/should do?

thanks!

EDIT: ok, not that I dont love my boots...but there is now a pair of deeluxe lemans in stock in my size...for $225 less than i paid. shhhh just dont tell my wife. :)

bomber let me know there are more holes on the back of the straps to move the buckles back. i looked and the spots are there. i drilled 'em out, moved the buckles back...and voila!

woohoo! thanks!

if your toe is being pinched dont forget to put a toe cap or an extra cut up peice of sock over your toes. i neglected but to luckily haven't had any problems. I had a few painful spots first couple times but they never hurt anymore.

yes, i did that and that part is awesome. the only part was the part on the top right of my foot. i cut another piece of my wool sock and taped it on there when i re-molded it. now, there are absolutely NO problems. I'm so excited about how good these boots feel.

i also moved those top boot straps in close so i can make the tops tighter and they feel so much better now. it's great! i went out last night and can't wait to go again. i will never have cramped or sleeping feet again!! woohoo :D
