just bought my first, and am very interested in the EMP one coming out. :)
I'm pretty picky when it comes to clothes. I think I like them more when they can answer questions for me (such as the SBOL website link on them). I also like simple logos and nothing too overpowering.
I usually like just a small logo on the back, but I like the way dcox' SBOL looks plastered on the back of his shirts.
I also like to buy gear that puts some money back into the community. That's one of the biggest reasons why I buy. (example: I buy gear for my motorcycle forums, too, because some of the money go towards keeping the forum alive).

I'm with him i like simple simple stuff and every once in awhile something crazy as long as it looks good and is quality like if im gonna drope $40-$50 bucks on a hoodie it better have a liner in the hood and draw string holes that aren't going to rip apart when tugged on
and if a company has a Kick ass logo im all for buying their stuff

i want one...but it's something about the colors....i dunno. not to dis or thread jack. i love black hoodies though, but those colors just dont look right. my guess is it looks 100% better in person.
G, maybe you'll have that EMP shirt available in a hoodie? :)

Im a logo/ image guy. The word shirts are cool, but I think they are a little too novelty (I mean all word shirts in general, not just skiboard ones). All the same Im buying a no poles no worries shirt.
But basic logo shirts (SBOL, Enurisa, etc) are all good for me. But if im dropping more than $30 it better be quality and look flippin amazing.
harrysiii
02-28-2007, 03:28 PM
haha, yup. i'm the same way...but actually do like the "no poles no worries" and the "they're called skiboards" shirts....funny.

the "there called skiboards" shirt is cool, I just dont like the you cant ride them part. Im all about expanding the community. Peace and love man.(sarcasm)
harrysiii
02-28-2007, 03:32 PM
again...me too. i dont like that part either because i dont want to turn people away because they think i'm a punk or something.
.....they can call me a punk after they get to know me...lol j/k

next season when I get some emps, then I'll get revel8 specific stuff. I feel stupid if I wear a revel8 shirt or hoodie, but dont have any revel8 boards.
Kirk S
02-28-2007, 03:41 PM
thats like saying you wont wear burton clothes because you dont snowboard
and burton makes some sweet coats
thisisjon
02-28-2007, 03:42 PM
I wont wear a burton tshirt. I have a burton jacket for skiboarding. But I had a burton snowboard anyway (rich grandparents didnt get the difference between snowboard and skiboard)

i don't think you should feel wrong wearing it without owning the boards. i think by getting it you're saying you want to support revel8 and skiboarding. and it's a great way to spread the world about skiboarding because usually people ask what's up with your shirt when they don't understand the logo.

Word!
besides like everyone has been saying they don't make a lot of skiboard specific stuff so heres your chance to get some and support the community while looking cool doing it

makes sense. Maybe I'll hit a revel8 shirt or something. If i have the money to get it.
My only source of income is teaching guitar lessons to one guy. But then again Im a highschool senior who lives with his parents, they just dont buy me crap.

harrysiii
02-28-2007, 03:47 PM
exactly!
I have a burton board and wear sims pants and jacket, along with burton gloves and boots.
doesn't really matter, as long as you're supporting your sport.
and where am i gonna find revel8 pants and jacket? nothing wrong with wearing snowboard clothes while skiboarding. i'd much rather wear those than the uncomfortable skiing stuff. lol

Not in here. A whole bunch of kids just turned 16 and went and got jobs. The only place that wants me is a moving company. BUT a buddy of mine works at a local ski shop, and is gonna try to get me in there.

good topic G! I'll personally be buying a couple of the cafe press shirts and I'll also be getting the EMP when it comes out.
I'll put together a more tame "yes, they're skiboards" layout tonight...

I was pricing up my options for where to buy BWPs (SBOL or europe) and factoring in SBOL clothing into the equation today. If I get BWPs from SBOL I'll probably have a zip hoody, unless you get any more pullover hoodie or 'i am a skiboarder' ts in size small. Roll on next paycheck..... :)

Dude, wtf. Is that what we're trying to associate with professional skiboarding? If so, let me know so I can get out of the sport now. I really am not into that.
Still waiting for the short sleeve EMP shirt......

I think alot of people are against it. But pot smokers are in every sport, thats life. I dont condone drug use (ive had two friends overdose) but people who do that stuff will find out that drugs ruin their life soon enough.
when i see someone overdose on marijuana I'll eat my shorts.
theres nothing wrong with pot or ski boarding however I don't want people to start associating the two together.
Now that the problem child has been removed I don't think we'll have that problem anymore.

they didnt overdose on pot. one over dosed on tons of pills the other on cocaine. These guys arent the usual guys i hang out with, but i hung out with them off and on.
