Finally got my first real mountain miles on my EMP's and wow everything you read on this forum regarding Revel8 quality and EMP sickness is true ... great set of boards, can't wait to take em out again....

One thing I noticed:
This was the first time I had snow stuck to the base of the skiboards making them unglidable .. this prob would resolve itself after I went back and forth with them a few times over the snow.
It only happened in the morning when I took em out of the car and first hit snow.
How come snow can get stuck to the base?
... do I use the wrong wax and the snow freezes to the base?
I'm using Viper wax atm which was for all temp conditions I thought .. not sure though.

im guessing you maybe applied the wax incorrecly possibly. invest in an iron and some quality like like swix or toko is even better.

mmhh, the Viper wax was just rub on ...
I still had the EMPs on factory settings ... They do come hotwaxed out of the box no?

Yes, the Revel8 boards are hot waxed out of the box. And I've used rub on wax in all temps with no trouble; I've never had snow stick to the bottoms of my boards. I would take Mark's advice if I were you and get some good hot wax (I just got an iron on eBay for $13 shipping included, so they're really not that expensive).
