Hey everyone!

As the topic says, I'm a new rider and would love some advice as on boards and bindings!

I from QLD, Australia where the coldest temperature is about 15 degree Celcius in Winter; so getting advice here is like trying to squeeze beer out of a disgruntled moose's butt while its on the job.

To give you a bit of background, I started out regrettably on the Snowblades in Feb '07(but still had a great time) but found the limitations really quickly eg going fast enough, general stability.
I'm not so fussed about bindings, i'd rather look at the release kind because i've had many ankle injuries.

Board's I'm looking at would be something adequately fast with carving ability. I'm not really the airborne type just yet...

If this is way too broad then think of carving up between trees at speed ...or for those who have been to Sunshine Village in Canada, think of Eagle Creek, that black diamond run off the Goat Express lift.

I am a real shortass so I don't really want to go over 90cm.

Any advice would be awesome or let us know if this is clear as mudd.

in the 90 and under range there isn't a great deal of choice in terms of high quality skiboards. you have

75cm SnowJams
90cm SnowJams
90cm Tanshos

75's will be very maneuverable but not handle speed/carving/landing/powder as well as the longer 90's would.

75s also have less flex and are more prone to breaking
if you land wrong off of a jump...well at least to me and the rest of SBU. After hard riding on rails the edges seperate a good couple of inches. We had 3 pair of new scorpions, and the edges seperated on all but 1 pair. We had 3 pair of Blue snowjams from 2005? and all of them have cracked and the edges have seperated. Id say go with 90s..either snowjam or tanshos, but revel8 has better quality and customer service.

just note, park riding is hell on boards.

Absolute go on tanshos, im 6'0 an almost enjoy them as much as EMP's. They are underated on the site. Still decent on powder, jumps, and rails.

Nope.......... just wanted a good avatar to remind me there still is good things to do in summer.

Plus i dont have any avatars small enough to fit on this site, they have to be shrunken down.
