I'm toying with the idea of a break on the Hintertux glacier in Austria the end of next month. Checking the webcams and sites they have about 80cm of snow there at the moment, with a big dump of fresh powder yesterday!!
Given how last season was in Europe I'm thinking that it's early enough to be quiet and high enough, 3200mtr, to have some good runs and even if the season does turn bad at least I've gotten some slope-time on the Tanshos ;)
Looking on the Tux website it looks like some deals can be had accommodation-wise (including ski-passes to the Hintertux glaicier) and easyJet have started flying to Innsbruck. Transfers can be done via train and looks v.cheap (10 euro's).

Tux.at website - hotels, pensions, B&B's, webcams & weather.

Hintertux Glacier.

ÖBB, Austrian trains (in English).
I think a long weekend can be had for under a hundred quid per person.
Anyone interested in this?
