I'm toying with the idea of a break on the Hintertux glacier in Austria the end of next month. Checking the webcams and sites they have about 80cm of snow there at the moment, with a big dump of fresh powder yesterday!!

Given how last season was in Europe I'm thinking that it's early enough to be quiet and high enough, 3200mtr, to have some good runs and even if the season does turn bad at least I've gotten some slope-time on the Tanshos ;)

Looking on the Tux website it looks like some deals can be had accommodation-wise (including ski-passes to the Hintertux glaicier) and easyJet have started flying to Innsbruck. Transfers can be done via train and looks v.cheap (10 euro's).

ÖBB, Austrian trains (in English).

I think a long weekend can be had for under a hundred quid per person.

Anyone interested in this?

tempting, but buying a house at the moment and probably moving house/renovating/decorating next month, which will kill all my time and money......

trying to decide over splashing out on 2 weeks in Fernie (good value deals can be had at £499 for 2 weeks!) or cheap (relatively) week in France, will have to see how much money goes into the house.

or a cheap week in romania to the european skiboard champs, practising my fakie downhill tonight ;)

I think good idea is to test new stuff from Revel8 and allz skiboards in Alps. So thats around November(a lil bit after Nov.).

BUT - biggest problem is about planning, this season is European Cup and World Cup... so i do not know how all things work out for me and my mates (skiboards.lv team)

At all idea is great, EU meeting is cool... but we all need to think and plan.

I've not seen any dates for the European or World Cups (are there any??) but they are normally not early in the year.

Actually Hintertux is normally the summer home for a lot of the top ski/board teams, I'm sure the Austrians would welcome the Latvian Skiboard team with open arms :)

To get the ball rolling I'll suggest the weekend of the 3rd November.

As i know unofficially - SEC (skb european cup) could be around January...
SWC (skb world cup) could be around April; May ...

BUT - here in Latvia we have so much to do, possible travel to Russia, to show skiboards in exibition together with Russian colleges (skiboarder.ru) and possible ride to Munich (Germany) to winters ISPO, which is in February. So that makes me around 4 skiboarding related events ... and its hard for me to plan one more in so early time - 2 months (if we r talking about money)

+ can not plan even bcs new skiboards arrive early nov. so who knows whats going on and they arrive in 5th Nov. so whats then? :(

Yeah, its difficult to get a date that fits everyone.
