boots are pretty much whatever feels good, something with good flex is nice, i also hear hardshell snowboard boots are comfy if you have non-release bindings, releasables need regular ski boots

The Canadians are coming!!!

I'd go with Revolts if your not into the park that much. If your more all around pick up some BWPs. I am around your size and am loving the BWPs.

Whats up Eh!

Yeah I don't plan on doing any parks mostly just regular downhill and as you know not much powder in Ontario.

I liking the KTPs but I assume no one has any riding experience on them since their new?

yeah no-ones ridden them yet, it won't be long though, november soon.

i'd say Revolts or KTP.

when people ask me for board recommendations i ask them a set of questions and based on their answers i recommend what i think is best for them.

the questions are:

1) how tall are they?
2) release or non release bindings? (this question spawns a whole other discussion on the pros and cons of release and non-release)
2) what experience snow sliding? (skiing, skiblading, snowboarding, etc)
3) where / what kind of mountains/conditions will they be in mostly?
4) what appeals to them most about skiboarding? (speed/carving, park, trees/powder, moguls, hyper maneuverability, etc)

i feel with this info comes the best recommendation.

Yes the KTPs are new and one of the widest boards seen yet. I would play safe and pick up some Revolts if you like the all mountain. You will be suprised how actually wide 11cm is at your foot.

But if you want to brave the new frontier of wide boards pick up a pair of KTPs.

I know in Ontario, you will not be able to push the KTPs. With our snow conditions I would even recommend the BWPs. They are great all around boards, and will eat up the parks when you feel like it.
