You mean the "season" or the "season"
In my opinion the Season starts when there is snow....

Man-made snow gives me nightmares.. the last time i went to an early opening at Lake Louise and they had only one giant run open.. with snow machines going like mad (was fun to ride through the part where the snow shoots out at least)

However it was -19 not including windchill and the run was packed with people and ice cuz they were the first hill open in Canada. To end this fun trip I skidded on a patch of ice and cracked my tailbone.. Couldn't sit for 2 weeks. Still hurts to this day if I sit too long, lol.

Aqua get yourself some demon crash pads. They have a great tailbone pads. They are rated to be rail resistant. I proved it. I think it should be in the crash section of the new bent films release at the end of the month. It looks horrible but I only broke my thumb. The pads did there thing.

I know you dont need thumbs to skiboard, but you may need them in other facets of life. I was doing a blindside switch on 45ft trap and I did'nt make it. In the copy I have of the footage there isnt any music for that part they turn it off so you can hear how violent the crash is. I hit so hard my helmet strap brakes and goes flying off my head. But like I said those pads ate up the rail I was on and i only hurt my thumb. Go demon pads:D

You know, I was thinking of trying to adapt some armor from one of my older riding jackets for skiboarding use, but those crash pad suits look very good. They actually remind me a lot of motorcycle gear, but the're softer and cheaper.

As for the 07-08 season, the weather in PA is so unpredictable, I have no idea when I'll be able to get out. I'm just trying to be as patient as I can until the slopes open up.
