Never hear of these (in my couple weeks of learning about skiboarding), are they any good?

Seem kinda old looking for the start price. I noticed they had wood core though so probably one of the better extinct brands or something?

Those are some old school Canon M7's. The M7's are great boards. They were generally considered to be some of the nicest boards, basically behind the MNP's up until the time that the newer companies started up. I have a pair of the last generation of M7's that Canon made, and they are great boards. They are narrower then the Revel8 boards, but they still performed decently for me (6'1", 190 lbs) even in powder. They aren't as good as the revel8s because they lack the width. My bigger concern with the board in the link you put is that one of the pictures of the tip/tails looks really bad. I can't tell exactly what it is, but it looks almost like the p-tex is coming off of the bases, which makes those boards useless. I'd ask the seller what that spot is, and if he gives an explanation that seems reasonable and that wouldn't hurt the quality of the boards, then I'd say you might consider buying them. Without knowing for sure what that is and that it won't hurt performance or lower the quality, I wouldn't touch em.

The M7s were the fastest boards.......in the 1990s.

Oops, just now realized that I hadn't read the description. He claims that the spot is just excess wax, but my concern with that would be why didn't he take it off. Wax is easily scraped off so there's no reason for it to be on. If you're looking at buying them, ask him for pictures with the wax scraped off.
Na not gonna buy em, just curious. Thanks for the info.:)

That wax story is bogus. It looks like its ground off base material...Just like said above...If its wax it should have been scraped off in the pic.
