NE December Event

jay peak would be a good place to go, haven't had an event there yet.

any other suggestion?

i don't know if it's good for an event because i've never heard anything about their park but i have heard they have great glade riding. a place with a great park would be ideal.

i have a friend that rides there with his family from what he tells me jays park isent that good but the free rideing is great and the get alot of pow

come on down to my place (I have a house with a huuuuge
basement) and I can set us up and we can go up like an hour
from my place to Stoneham, Le Relais, St-Anne... you know where the good parks are in Quebec =)

this would be overkill.

don't know yet, it's still 3 months off and right now i'm really busy planning the hood trip which if happens will be in 15 days and if it happens we might have extra beds so if anyone has some extra plane ticket cash or parents frequent flyer miles you may want to meet up with us at mt. hood, oregon...

do it in vermont. somewhere in the Burlington area would be really nice. im not positive of any of the mountains in that area so it would be up to someone who knows the area to choose the best mountain

3 of us are definitely going to one of the southern vermont resorts (probably stratton) between xmas and ny's (sunday to thurs) and am working on group lodging now if anyone else is interested. another friend of mine is going to tremblant over the ny's weekend for 5 days if anyone is looking for lodging in that area ... $360 for 5 days, lodging only.

I can handle a few peeps no problem....its not "my house" but my housemates shouldn't mind a few bums sleeping in the basement
for a nite or two.

as long as you guys don't mind sleeping on the floor (i.e: concrete) we should be set!

I can't go to Canada the week of Dec. 20th -25th. Too many orders and requests come in during that time. But I will be looking for local day trips to NY, MA, NJ, VT, etc.

If anyone wants to get together and ride let me know.

I'm also thinking of a big thing like we had last year at Sauever but not in January, maybe like Feb or March.

I've been living up near Jay Peak since 97. Yes it's all true about the glades and mostly true of the park. Last years park was better than previous years and they have set a goal this year of having one of, if not the nicest park in the area.

And no, I don't work for them. In fact, I wish they would stop advertising. This place was the best kept secret for years and while the lines are getting longer on the weekends; most weekdays you can ski right onto the chair.

im training up to alex's on the 26th of december. (that means im not coming to tremblant, g)... and the plan has it that we will ride ste anne on the 27th, all day long.. then ste anne the next day at night only because alex has to work, then at night the following two nights at stoneham.. if other people are coming, we can have a contest.. thoughts!?

ill plan on arriving the evening of the 26th, then i will aim on leaving the evening of the 30th, after riding.. that gives us 4 full days of riding

bailey and the crew are definitely coming down to creek and i'm sure adam and kirk and everyone else from pa and the metro area will come over meet up with them. when it happens it's going to be a big weekend at creek.

once creek opens and the holidays pass we'll start arranging it... it's going to be amazing. ethan said he wanted to come down for it too. and you know what he brings with him in his bag...HUGENESS!!!!
