I started "skiboarding" with some salomon snowblades about 6-7 years ago, and haven't gotten out on the hills a decent amount in a couple of years. I'm taking a trip to Telluride and I'm looking to get all new gear for the trip. I want to get back on the hills a lot more not only on this trip and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I'm 6'1" about 180 lbs and I used the snowblades quite a bit for the first couple years I had them but after reading the stuff about them on this site I'm not sure if that would make me a completely new rider or not. Hopefully I gave enough information for some good suggestoins. Thanks

I about your size plus 20lbs and i enjoy the BWPs. Great all around board for park and mountain.
You may also like the Revolts, for more all mountain riding.

yea manlenium is right on. the Ben Wannamaker Pros would work well for you along with the Revolts. If you are used to a snowblade i wouldn't reccomend the width of the 101 ktp, because it makes it more difficult to catch an edge. At your height you can go from 94cm - 110 cm, but the BWP(98) or Revolt Series{Trees, Chickens, Cities}(105) would probly be your best bet.

thanks for the suggestions...any suggestions on some bindings and boots...keep in mind i'm a broke college student...thanks
boots are whatever feels comftable, but flex, an upright stance, and maybe a walk mode would be a plus. Bindings is a personal decision when it comes to release vs. non-release, if you're worried about breaking something. Release will be more expensive, so take the into consideration. If you go for non-release, you'll basically be getting what you pay for, more expensive models have higher quality parts and metal, but any will work.
good luck

Check local used shops and you may be able to pick up a decent pair of boots for cheap. Bindings are constantly being sold on various forums and websites. Check ebay! You can get a pair of extreme 2s for as little as 49.99 if you look in the right places.

I'm only a couple inches taller than you and about the same weight, and I ride EMPs (Revolts). I had considered the BWP's, but I'm a fan of high-speed carving, and the extra length of the EMP/Revolt design makes them very stable in all conditions. My first time out on them I hit a double black that was basically nothing but ice and moguls, and they took everything in stride without ever feeling unstable or out of control.
As far as boots and bindings go, I second Manlenium. Check local shops for boots that are leftovers etc. For bindings, the Extreme II is not a bad binding at all. That's what I used all last year, and I didn't have a problem. I'm stepping up to Line FF Pro's this year on my EMPs, but I'll still use the Extreme II's on my other boards.

i've been to some local ski shops looking for some boots and I was interested in the Rossignol Softs that are here on the website but I wanted to make sure i got fitted first... I can't find them anywhere and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on boots that are similar to it.
