Hi!! I've been skiing since I was four, but started snowblading about four years ago (I am 15). I am an experienced rider, with good skills. I have been riding on solomon blades, but someone told me I was too tall for the ones I have, and I want to get new, and better ones anyway. I am about 5'1" and 100 pounds. Is there a specific board length I should be getting? Any suggestions?:)

possibly 75-90 range with nonrelease bindings. It depends if you want release or non release bindings. With releaseable bindings you can go up to 94 cm possbily 97.5.

i dont reccomend snowjams unless your on a tight budget...the Bantams are gunna be the biggest thing to hit the 75 class EVER!

i would say Tanshos just cuz if yur only 5'1" yur bound to grow taller.

I was thinking I wanted the 75 cm, but then in the description it said for "begginer riders". Would they be too mellow for me? I mean, it's not like I'm doing backflips on these, but I do like to go fast and I wouldn't consider myself a begginer. And I think I want non-release bindings, just because they're cheaper, is that a bad choice?
the 75's should be fine for you, especially with your small size, they're the same high quality construction as all the other R8 boards. Nonrelease bindings are a fine choice, the decision is all about your personal preference and if you're worried about injury. Many/most people on here ride non-release.

i'm curious, where does it say for beginner riders? i checked one of the snowjam 75 descriptions and the bantam desc. but couldn't find it.
thanks,
g
oh and btw, shorter boards are easiest for beginners to learn on but by no means are 75cm boards only for beginners. some people prefer shorter boards because they are super maneuverable.

It says it's for beginner riders under Revel8 Bantam "Samurai" 75cm Skiboards. It says "Suited for inline skaters with seasonal depression and the younger or smaller crowd, these boards are perfect for those who favor a little less hot sauce on their skiboard tamale. Shorter boards offer maximum control and inline skate feel and the new Revel8 Bantam line will have newbies feeling confident after just a few runs". I really like this board. I think I'm going to add them to my christmas list!!!!

i'm sorry you took it that way. the description is trying to say it's for beginners AND for people who like 'em shorter for maneuverability. (like inline skates)
Merry Christmas indeed!

I do play ice hockey, so it's KINDA like inline skaters. And don't worry about the description, I think I just overanalyzed it. So the rider's weight has nothing to do with the length of the board?

no, not really, it's a small consideration if you're really heavy or if you're light and want to go long but all the revel8 boards have a really dialed in medium flex so they work well with all weights.

awesome. i'm glad. that's one of the reason's why we're here. and once you get 'em post your location in the meet up and ride section and maybe someone is local who can show you the ins and outs.

I would go pure Tansho, BWP or the ALLZ. They would be great all around and help you in the parks.
I am 6'0 200lbs. I own some tanshos and they are a great if you sharp turning and rails.
I would go BWPs...youll grow into them and all around they are great boards. I would stay 90 -100, youll get more fun and ride experience from the fat/wide.
Youll always grow into them..

nah dude i also play hockey, and my fave boards are 80 cm...
skills translate exactly, just dont try crossovers :)
plus Man outweighs you by 100lbs....
go for smaller and lighter 75s or maybe 90s, but more will be overkill for you... i have 98s as well but only use em when i loan my shorties to friends

trust me, I've made the mistake of trying crossovers. Left a wicked nasty bruise on my shin;)
Can't wait till that fresh pow pow comes for the slopes!!!
