i say BWP all the way if you want to go up a few cm in size. Tanshos would be good too. If you go releaseable you could even do KTPs/Revolts. If you wanna wait awhile....the Allz boards might turn into something for you at 94 cm...although they are untested and unridden by anyone yet. I havnt heard anything from martins in awhile.

def my friend. BWPS are perfect all mountain boards that hold the TRUE feel of a skiboard on every part of the mountain. They are very maneuverable and have a tight turning radius...and if you venture in the park they are the perfect jibbing board. They are also good off of jumps as well.

make a point of making it to an SBOL trip sometime. They are usually meetups all around the east coast and a few big ones every year. Get to know everyone and try out some other boards to get a feel of all the different sizes.

the minimum high for BWPs with non-releasable is 5'5"

if you are going to get them, get some releasables, i'd say go for tanshos of Allz

are the allz a good company. i really wanted to go up in size from my 90 cm line jedis, and i really heard alot of good things about revel 8 company.

the tanshos may be the same length as your lines, but the width will really help you in stability. just to keep in mind ;)

allz is a great company. no worries about them at all. i've known martins (allz) for a long time. he's super dedicated to the sport and his new boards are very high quality.

ahh greco responds, i heard your the man to ask for help. thanks for responding. im going to look into the allz as an option. do you also agree with the advice that the 98cm boards maybe to much for me, and i should stick with the 90cm boards or the allz at 94cm?

if you're going to be using non release then yes i'd say 90 or 94. if you're going with release bindings you could go longer but you'd have to weigh the benefits of each based on your experience and how you like to ride. shorter = more maneuverable, easier to learn on and feel comfortable quickly. longer = more stable at high speeds, more surface area for floating in powder and landing jumps.

i saw a link to another thread on here, that said that the tanshos and the bwps arent that much different. and that after a few rides down the mountain depending on my experience i should be able to get used to them pretty quickly. i want to be able to have good stability at faster speeds. as well as being able to hit some jumps and rails when i head to the park with my snowboard buddies who rag on me for skiboarding. i said dont knock it till you try it. i convinced a couple to give it a try. i think they afraid to admit that skiboarding is a lot of fun, and plus they like to follow the trends and not stand out.

i really like the bwp and bomber elite set up. i understand that the tanshos are wider and a much better quality then my current set up but i also want to be able to go off course between the trees where my fellow snowboarders go and not get stuck or sink down like my lines skiboards like to do some what.

thanks to everyone for all there great advice.

was your last post a question??

:)

mate, go for the BWPs!!!

you got stability at higher speeds, you can go park, you can go between trees, you can just glide through the snow, ice, outdoor coffee shop with lots of chairs and daddys and mommys in the sun... :P, anything you like.... :D

and after all... you already had 90cm...
go for it. the BWPs - 98cm

I know I will...

have fun

you are forgetting that rayny is under the minimum height to ride the BWPs safely with non-relesables.

i just dont want to go with a 90cm board again. you think i would be better off with the allz. i just like revel 8 boards. they are wider. the allz are the same dimensions as the boards i have now but 4cm bigger. is 90 to 98 cm make that much of a difference.

by 0.1"... is that so important?
I believe it depends on the way of each person to ski, and the way they know how to fall too.

ok. even if so, go for the BWPs, with releasable :) ehehe

I think he already made up his mind......

While height is a factor in injury, It all comes down to personel preference. Riding via height setup....Kinda like signing a waiver on your ski pass..... You know that injury could be involved....

I say go for it, if you have the experience, and know your limits, you should be fine. Just dont go and do runs like you are wearing your old boards, get used to the feel.

Bomber/BWP - Tried and tested........Pimped setup...:D

thanks for your advice. im going to give them a try, i like the wider stance of the board and the bigger tip and tail over what i have been used to. if they dont work out, im sure i can find someone on here who would buy them off of me and then i would go with the tanshos. thanks for all the advice everyone.

You can easily find a buyer for those badboys if they dont work out.

Just take it easy and dont hurt yourself:p
