Im for sure getting a pair of skiboards for Christmas but the thing is I don't know what decision I should go with.

Tanshos. They look awesome and seem to be my top choice right now. I'm like 5'5 but last year I had a pair of 98'' Solomans and I hated them, they felt they were to big for me, length wise.

But the Tanshos are 90'' but I don't know if I that is going to make a difference in length, feel like I would have more control over them..

My 2nd choice is the 75 Snowjams, They seem really small and almost to much of a skate like feel where I was told its a lot harder to land jumps, power etc.

But If for some reason I don't feel comfortable on the decision on the ones I buy and try them out am I pretty much screwed? lol

I would like to get peoples input on which decision I should go with before I make my final decision.

Thank You!

The Tanshos are really manoeverable. Should be perfect for your size and should be fine for landing tricks. You'd lose some stability going shorter, but 75s would be ultra manoeverable. Depends what type of riding do you want to do?

I'd say go with Tanshos and a decent pair of bindings, you should have a great season on them, and if you want to change up or down in size later on you only need new boards as the bindings are interchangable.

The problem might have been the Salomons themselves... :p

I would hit up the Tanshos. With your height/weight they will be the perfect board for all around riding. They will be a defiinate upgrade from the Salomons, and you will find the length much more enjoyable.

I am 6'0 200lbs geared and ride the tanshos w/bombers. They are amazing, fluid, great on rails and in the park. They have great manuvering, sharp turning capabilty and short enough to feel inline/hockey like.

I would stay with 90s, you may find the 75s too small when you want to try harder tricks/spins, and they may hold you back.

Tanshos are my pick:p

Once you get on these bad boys and rolling ...your mind will settle...:D

i dont reccomend 75s for anything more than beater boards....they dont have too much float, well maybe the new r8 ones too..but my old snowjam 75s didnt. Id say go 90 they will be perfect for you.

I agree. I think the Tanshos should be about perfect for you.
