i've never ridden those but i did use the rails for a season and i hated them, sold them last year. they were so heavy and uncomfortable, tight in some areas and loose in others where i wanted them tight.
but those you linked look really nice, i would get those.

I've got rail boots and I don't like them either. Like Greco said they're really heavy so they're terrible for hiking. They collect ice really easy on the bottoms too making it hard to get in your bindings if you've been walking through any snow, especially fresh stuff. I think I'm going with regular ski boots this season.

My third season in skiboards coming up, and I won't regret ditching the Rails. They weren't good for much, sloppy, and too loose where I needed it to be tight. But I personally know people who love the Rails, so I think its more subjective than anything. Oh, and they skiboard better than me too.
I went to Saloman Performas after trying out about 20 skiboots at a shop. To me, comfort is everything, looks nothing, and reviews even less than that.
Go with what's comfortable to you after you've tried them on, not what manufacturer's think should be cool. Every foot is different.

i wouldn't say a bad word about rails, zenderfall is right. and i will use them this season again.
but these dolomites look realy nice. if i was in big need for new boots i would take them (haven't tried them tho).
you should go to a shop and try them on your feet before you order any boots from e-stores

i agree with you guys that comfort is everything, it doesn't matter at all what features a boot has if your feet are hurting. and for most boots it doesn't make sense to order them from the web since every foot is different. that is why we sell the deeluxe lemans which has a modable liner. which means out of the box it won't fit anyone, you have to bring them to a ski shop and for like 10 bucks they will heat up the liners and then fit them to your feet in the boots and have you wear them for a few minutes until they cool down and bang, they are molded to your individual feett. i went from the rails to these and man i don't even have to think about boots anymore. total comfort.

yea comfort is everything. over the summer i got a pair of Salomon X wave 7.0 boots and they are like nothing else ive ever worn before. i havent skiied in them yet but i did walk around the house in them quite a bit. i definitely paid alot for them becuase i now know that the boot is listed under Salomons epert line of boots, but the little ive worn them so far i think it will be worth the price. you cant really put too high of a price tag on comfort, especially when you ride for weekends at a time.
