ok, i just read the article on hot waxing and ive been taking my boards to the skishop we have here on campus. they hot wax them and there is always a good layer of wax that i could scrape off with my fingernails. should i be scraping that off with a scraper?

if theres alot of it, yes. you should beable to scrape some off with your fingernail all the time though.
